Dragons: Riders of Berk

"Dragons: Riders of Berk" is a Cartoon Network spin-off of the hit animated feature "How to Train Your Dragon" from DreamWorks Animation. After Hiccup Horrorendous Haddock III discovered dragons could be trained, the island of Berk appeared to be safe, untilits residents realized how many dragons that's actually there! Now the only option is to train them all! Through their training, the kids are finding out the cool things dragons can do. Not only will they learn more about their dragons, they’ll also discover new ones and battle against enemies as they explore worlds they never dreamed existed.

Major Crimes - TNT

TNT’s all-new drama series Major Crimes is ready to take television’s favorite squad of detectives into bold new territory. Mary McDonnell stars in the series, continuing her Emmy®-nominated role from The Closer. Joining her are fellow Closer veterans G.W. Bailey, Tony Denison, Michael Paul Chan, Raymond Cruz and Phillip P. Keene, along with guest stars Robert Gossett and Jon Tenney. The series also stars Graham Patrick Martin as a homeless juvenile whose character will be introduced in the final episode of The Closer, and Kearran Giovanni as Detective Amy Sykes, an ambitious undercover police detective and military veteran who served in Afghanistan.

Oh Sit! - CW

Hosted by actor/comedian Jamie Kennedy and actress/television host Jessi Cruickshank, "Oh Sit!" is a fun, high-stakes, high-octane musical chairs competition, in which 12 thrill-seeking daredevils race head to head through five physically demanding, obstacle course-style eliminations as they each compete to claim a chair, to the sounds of a live band. At the end of the hour, only one contestant will be left sitting triumphant to seize the cash prize. Adding to the fun, Tanika Ray will be in the trenches with the contestants both on and off the track and will add color commentary from the sidelines as the action unfolds.

The Next - CW

In each episode of "The Next", four music industry superstars — Gloria Estefan, John Rich, Nelly, and Joe Jonas — will drop in on the lives of four up-and-coming local musicians. The show will move from city to city: Orlando, Baltimore, New York, Chicago, Dallas and Los Angeles. In each town the contestants will be local musical heroes with a huge regional following of devoted fans, as well as a formidable social media presence on Twitter and Facebook. Some have weekly residencies at the hottest clubs; others have performed in the opening slot at stadium-sized concerts. Bullet in the Face - IFC

Bullet In The Face stars Canadian actor Max Williams as Gunter Vogler, a brutally psychopathic, deliriously misogynistic German assassin-turned-cop. The character is utterly without conscience or filter, shooting people indiscriminately and accompanying it with radically offensive invective. After a botched heist and ensuing plastic surgery, Gunter is forced by police to go undercover and help take down the city’s gang leaders.

Copper - BBCAmerica

“Copper” is a gripping crime drama series set in 1860s New York City. Kevin Corcoran (Tom Weston-Jones), an Irish-American former boxer turned cop, returns from the Civil War to find his wife missing and his daughter dead. Good Cop - BBC1

Centred around a young Liverpool response cop, PC Rocksavage. When his best friend is murdered the impact of his brutal death throws his whole life and career into turmoil. He starts to question everything he believes in and the difference between right and wrong. He finds himself increasingly desirous for revenge and a different kind of justice. A Touch of Cloth - Sky1

A spoof of every British crime drama made in the last decade. Hannah stars as DCI Jack Cloth, a "maverick, heavy drinking loner" who throws himself into his work after the death of his wife. He is teamed with a "plucky, no-nonsense sidekick" played by Jones investigating a series of grisly murders. Brooker said: "After you've seen A Touch of Cloth you'll never be able to watch another detective show again. Not because it's a devastating piss take, but because you'll have smashed your TV into pieces in a disappointed fury." Coma - A&E

Lauren Ambrose stars as Dr. Susan Wheeler in this thriller about a medical student who discovers that something sinister is going on in her hospital after routine procedures send more than a few seemingly healthy patients into comas on the operating table. This modern retelling of the novel by Robin Cook and the film by Michael Crichton comes from executive producers Ridley and Tony Scott, Black Swan writer John J. McLaughlin, and Band of Brothers director/Emmy winner Mikail Salomon. The two-night event features a stellar cast including Richard Dreyfuss, Ellen Burstyn, James Woods, Geena Davis, and Steven Pasquale.

The Crimson Petal and the White - Encore

"The Crimson Petal and the White," is an adaptation of Michel Faber's 2002 bestselling novel. It's an alluring, seductive drama that reveals the underbelly of Victorian-era London and the travails of prostitute Sugar, played by Romola Garai. Chris O'Dowd stars as William Rackham, along with Gillian Anderson as brothel proprietor Mrs. Castaway, Amanda Hale as William's disturbed wife Mrs. Rackham, Shirley Henderson as Mrs. Emmeline Fox, and Richard E. Grant as Dr. Curlew, Mrs. Rackham's medical consultant.

The New Normal - NBC

Guys With Kids - NBC

From executive producer Jimmy Fallon comes an absurdly funny new comedy about three thirty-something dads trying to hold on to their youth, while holding onto their new babies' hands. Easy, right? Thankfully Chris, Nick and Gary have each other to help navigate their survival as new dads, while still trying desperately to remain dudes. Balancing work or staying at home, painfully married or happily divorced, they know that taking care of the little ones while maintaining a social llife is a daily challenge. Whether it's hosing the little squirt down in the kitchen sink or hitting the bar strapped with a Baby Bjorn, these guys are on a roller-coaster adventure - parenting like you (and they) have never seen before. He is every parent's worst nightmare - a slacker full of outlandish, New Age ideas. Ken and Lorna have no choice but to welcome him into their family home - and if every Englishman's home is his castle, then this hippie has stormed Ken's fortress and plundered everything, most unforgivably, his princess.

What happens when an exuberant, irresponsible dreamer who always says "yes" moves in with his overly responsible little sister to help raise her five-year-old daughter? "The Mindy Project" is a new single-camera comedy from Mindy Kaling that follows a woman who, despite having a successful career, desperately needs to break bad habits in her personal life. Brickleberry - Comedy Central

Brickleberry is an animated series revolving around a group of dysfunctional forest rangers at a national park that is facing closure until a new ranger comes in to whip everyone into shape and save the park. Brickleberry will be executive produced by Daniel Tosh along with comedians Waco O'Guin and Roger Black, who wrote and created the series. The series is created, written and executive produced by O'Guin and Black and executive produced by Tosh, who will also voice a character.

The Neighbors - ABC

Meet the Weavers, Debbie (Jami Gertz) and Marty (Lenny Venito), who recently bought a home in Hidden Hills, a gated New Jersey townhome community with its own golf course. It's clear from day one that the residents of Hidden Hills are a little different. Over dinner, Marty and his family discover that their neighbors receive nourishment through their eyes by reading books, rather than eating. The Weavers soon learn that the entire community is comprised of aliens from Zabvron, where the men bear children and everyone cries green goo from their ears. The Zabvronians have been stationed on Earth for the past 10 years, disguised as humans, awaiting instructions from home, and the Weavers are the first humans they've had the opportunity to know. As it turns out, the pressures of marriage and parenthood are not exclusive to planet Earth. Two worlds will collide with hilarious consequences as everyone discovers they can "totally relate" and learn a lot from each other.

Last Resort - ABC

500 feet beneath the ocean's surface, the U.S. ballistic missile submarine Colorado receives their orders over a radio channel designed only to be used if their homeland has been wiped out: they're told to fire nuclear weapons at Pakistan. Captain Marcus Chaplin (Andre Braugher) demands confirmation of the orders only to be unceremoniously relieved of duty by the White House. XO Sam Kendal (Scott Speedman) finds himself suddenly in charge of the submarine and facing the same difficult decision. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Nick

Beauty and the Beast - CW

Emily is not only the new kid once again, but real life is also just as awkward as high school.

Underemployed - MTV

"Underemployed" follows a group a five friends - Sophia, Daphne, Lou, Raviva and Miles - who all believe they're destined for greatness as they graduate from college and enter the real world. Malibu Country - ABC

World Without End - Reelz Channel

"World Without End" is set 150 years after "Pillars of the Earth" and chronicles the experiences of the fictional English town of Kingsbridge during the start of the Hundred Years' War and the outbreak of the Black Death.

Dancing on the Edge - BBC2

The drama is set in the early 1930s and follows black jazz musicians, the Louis Lester Band, as they find fame amongst the parties and performances of London’s upper class society. Although many recoil at the performance of black musicians in polite society, the city’s more progressive socialites, including members of the Royal Household, take the band under their wing. 666 Park Avenue - Soapy, overdone, overall "meh".
The Family Tools - Didn't watch.
How to Live with Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life) - Awful. One of the worst comedy pilots I've seen in a while.
Last Resort - Moved way too quickly, too many logical jumps, zero character moments, looks cheap... Not a fan at all.
Malibu Country - Didn't watch.
Mistresses - Didn't watch.
Nashville - Awesome. Hayden and the political angle grated the most, but this show is a huge knock-out. Connie Britton is fantastic.
The Neighbors - Charming enough. Super sweet, very kid-friendly. Maybe not for me in the long term. I don't quite understand where the vitriol is coming from with TV critics.
Red Widow - Surprisingly solid. Very well shot, well acted. I still have some problems with it and its by no means perfect, but I'm intrigued.
Zero Hour - Terrible. The worst drama pilot of the year.

Elementary - Really great. Because the cast is so small, they really get to do more character moments than on a typical CBS drama. I wouldn't be surprised if this turned out to be in the same vain as The Good Wife.
Friend Me - Didn't watch.
Golden Boy - Bad. Looks bad, acted poorly, stupid hook.
Made in Jersey - Charming. I wouldn't watch it, but I can see why it was picked up.
Partners - Didn't watch.
Vegas - A huge fail and the most disappointing show this season. It's directed so blandly, the sets aren't that impressive, and the entire thing is just a procedural. Which you realized about 10 minutes in. And it's sad.

Ben and Kate - Didn't watch.
The Following - Awesome, with asterisks. Feels a bit restrained? Still, it's probably the most exciting drama pilot from this year (I won't say best written). The recasting they did is necessary.
The Goodwin Games - Didn't watch.
The Mindy Project - Meh. Disappointing, but it's been severely overhauled so we'll see.
The Mob Doctor - Surprisingly solid. I'm not sure if I would watch in the long term, and there are some logical issues with it, but I'll watch episode two.

1600 Penn - Charming. Josh Gad is the best part. Everything else isn't that great.
Animal Practice - Didn't watch.
Chicago Fire - By the books, overly serious, meh.
Do No Harm - Terrible. And looks bad.
Go On - Weirdly shot, but really endearing. Somewhat funny.
Guys with Kids - No.
Hannibal - Not shot yet.
Infamous - All over the place. Poor Megan Good.
The New Normal - Really great. I'm the president of the Ryan Murphy hate club, and it was one of the best pilots he's produced.
Next Caller - Eh. Not bad. Not great. I'm indifferent.
Revolution - I want to see the new shoots and stuff they added, but I liked what I saw. It's still way too "clean" (as in, the sets), but I'm still interested in the world. There really needs to be more character moments.
Save Me - The best comedy pilot of the year, by far. Earnest, hilarious, funny, charming... the whole thing just works. But I really think it's too niche to work on NBC.

Nashville: Here is the reason why there will no good Singing rivaly shows. Glee got this right despite its Japanese inspired Trope Playing, there is no tension between adults - or the tension is inherntly stupid. This is a pass.

Revolution: Six Episodes, they got to get good on the first three. Im sticking if they do.
Chicago Fire: A Hit for the Mainstream, Not For me. PASS.

Arrow: Dont like the lead. Should have Stuck with Smallvilles Green Arrow. PASS because of it.
Beauty and the Beast (CBS Version): The idea of having a bishonen lead without badassness and white hair doesnt fly with me. This is a one and done series and its a damn fucking shame because the CBS version could have be done with out the mucky muck that the females do over at CW.
Cult: Maybe, because the critcs hate the show, with a honest premise i might look at it in a better light. One, Maybe Done if it is bad.
Carrie Diaries: Would have worked better as a Psycho Drama which could explain why Carrie ended up the most fucked up female i ever seen on TV. Pass.
