I like what they are doing with the future tech, I will get this as always, but I just hope the maps aren't as awful as last year. From what can be seen in this trailer it looks like there are a lot of varied and easily identifiable landmarks, which is a good sign. I thought there were some more futuristic looking guns in the E3 demo (FarSight like sniper rifle), are they just for SP?

The worse things are their comments "It looks like COD". Yeah, a real deep insightful comment. Thanks.
Looks great to me. I preferred Black Ops over MW3, so I'm looking forward to see what Treyarch have done this year. I just hope they let me use Nunchuck/Wiimote combo on the possible Wii U version of this game :/. Yeah, something about them sounded like they were added in during editing the video or something. |

The original Black Ops was very original in the series as it brought wager matches, point unlock system, more varied killstreaks, optic customization, and more.
Whats Black Ops 2 bringing exactly? Suicide planes? Yeah, that'll be fun. Awesome discussion, you really got me dude. There is no such thing as franchise fatigue or dull repetition, nope, just "LOL HATERS".

That's what the single player and third mode are for. They aren't about to screw with the online multiplayer to much. You can add new and different modes (Treyarch has no problem adding those) but the tried and true deathmatches are always going to be included and what get the most play when it comes to competitive side. Of course they're going to tease that first. There are only so many ways those can be done and presented. The big change is likely going to be on the Zombie side I expect.

Just like the past games, this will be a day 1 purchase.
Loved the gameplay and can't wait to hear/see more. Excited to see the riot shield is coming back! WaW was my favorite game in the series and Treyarch hasn't let me down ever since then so I have faith BO2 will be great as well. |

I kinda thought Treyarch would be changing the MP formula up a lot more based on some of their comments.
Judging from this trailer it seems like CoD just with futuristic weapons/gadgets. Like instead of the stun grenade it's a "shock charge" but from a gameplay standpoint they accomplish the same thing. That's more of an artificial change/reskinning. Looking forward to seeing the full reveal. |

Here's what I noticed.
-Variable fire rates for weapons -Stun knifes -Scope that allows player to see through walls briefly -Possible shielding -Dives -Deployable turret that pushes enemies back? -Los Angeles map -Remote controlled drone -Tactical shields with the ability to be placed in the ground -Mechs with the ability to exit and thus be stolen -Tomahawk -C4 -Kamikaze drones -Possible gear customization, or defined equipment look for different classes -Spectator mode |

That's why CoD 4 was fantastic, the killstreaks were slight bonuses for performing well. Now CoD is built on which killstreaks you can use to spawn trap or spawn camp a team.
