![]() ![]() ![]() Something seems off about Portia, no? Is it just weight loss or did she do something with her face? Either way, j'adore <3 See more here: http://collider.com/arrested-develop...images/187551/ |

Yeah noticed that too, she definitely looks sort of different. Easy to forget it's been 6 years given everyone else looks more or less the same as they did on the show.

I enjoy Workaholics, but never got the undying love it gets here on GAF. I view it as a poor man's It's Always Sunny. That said, I'm wondering how the cameos are going to work, since AD and Workaholics really have different brands of humor.

I have been thinking about this and I'm ok with it and here's why: although it's probably something as cynical as marketing driving this, both universes exist in the same tonal range, which I would describe as softly realistic worlds inhabited by hyper intense or laid back extremes of character. So I think a crossover if it's properly written could be funny and could definitely be made to be tonally appropriate.

What I really love about AD is how it can stir up a pretty heartwarming moment and then immediately do a 180 on it with no qualms.
Eg: When everybody thinks George Senior has died and Michael is telling them how he should have been there and will never leave the family again. *winks at George Michael* Then they all walk somberly into the hospital room and find he's actually escaped and Michael immediately turns to GM and says 'Right. We're leaving!' |

Good lord, that picture of Alia Shawkat may be the worst picture ever, of what I consider an attractive woman. Was that bad of a picture on purpose? Her freckles in it even make her look like she has facial hair in that light. I legit thought it was Cera dressed up as a woman when I saw the picture on my iPhone.
Anyway, I love all of these new set photos and the news. I can already taste the happy! |

That's an interesting dilemma, actually. If you have the DVD's, you can watch the pilot uncut with the bleeps removed, and it's not as funny. There are several long bleeped out tirades in the show, and none of them would work, IMO, without the bleeps and reaction shots.

I agree 100%. Some things just work better with the bleeps, and this show is one of them.
