WiiU being avalaible at launch in black or white versions hasn't been announced at last E3, so this promotional stuff may be considered a leak imo.

I would love to know if Wii games are going to be upscaled, or at the very least the system output a proper anamorphic signal.

We discussed this a while ago on the WUST's and apparently, the system itself won't upscale Wii games, but since it will use HDMI cables, the audio/image will be a little bit better.

November 18th would be the same day as GameCube's North American launch date. The Wii's was November 19th.

I tried pre-ordering both the other day telling the store clerk I would pay in full for both consoles now and that I could just get a refund of the difference or pay the difference if there was one at a later time. He just looked at me and said "uh, no", lol.

Girl at one of our local Gamestops said they indeed have the marketing materials in their backroom but are waiting a bit to see if Nintendo announces something soon before they put them out since they obviously don't want a ton of people asking them about price, release ect when they know nothing.

I worked at GameStop during the Xbox 360 launch. We kept a book of names/numbers to call when pre-orders became available. I don't believe it was company-wide though, something that our district manager came up with.

I am undecided about the color as well. I have a black 360, PS3, and Apple TV so it would match better, however I think white is less intimidating and more family friendly of a color. My Wii U (like the Wii) will be my family get-together system (bring it out for Thanksgiving/Christmas/Parties) and I love having my parents and older people in my family join in on the fun. Will white make them feel a little more comfortable since they played on a white Wii?

Well developers are lazy, and they'd have to technicall put support for the Wii Remote for all games in order to support Classic Controller. It'd be easier for them to support the GamePad and Pro Controller instead. :P

Smash 4 would most likely support the Classic Controller though.

It'd be a nice launch if all three make it, compared to most launch windows (not a high standard, obviously). Plus if you were like chronically poor all this generation, you got some Wii U ports that might be the strongest of the bunch visually (Ass Creed 3, Darksiders II, Arkham Asylum, etc).

Hate to say it but P-100 will probably end up in January which would probably be best. It will be crushed under the weight of everythign else this holiday season. I'm already worried about NSMBU killing Legends.
