I'm hoping the mods understand context well enough to realize that it was a direct quote (and was the title of the video being linked). Unless you mean edit the links out entirely.

There was a tv movie in like 96 that resolved it in a way. You didn't see the Tanners (hell, they barely get a mention) at all. It's basically, he's in an army base being hidden and he escapes to try and find the Tanners while traveling across the country.

It was a TV movie that aired on ABC in 1996.

I used to watch the show as a kid. Also, the cartoon.

But in the sitcom, wasn't Alf finally discovered and aprehended by the government?

Alf was really a show that I loved as a kid and now I have no idea how or why I loved it. If others feel the same way like I suspect they do, I'm not sure if this movie will find its audience.

Mm, well that's some reference - never seen that show before! Will remember that for the future. I didn't have the context of other shows on at the time, so that clip does make sense (although I'm still uncomfortable with it anyways).

Saying that, I do wonder about the extent to which the working environment was "unpleasant" for the other actors on the show.

Seeing this thread is funny because last week I randomly started reading up on ALF via Wiki. I saw an episode on Hub and realized that while I always knew about ALF, I never really had fond memories of the show because I was so young. Naturally I ended up coming across the controversial bloopers and I became obsessed with finding out about stuff that went on on-set lol. I fell into a dark hole.

Sony's been way too eager and content with buying old properties to turn into animated or hybrid movies. It'd be nice if they put a little effort in and developed original movies.

I was one of the ten people who saw Permanent Midnight in theaters and thinking that everyone on that show probably hated each other for very very good reasons, all the time.

Anyone ever read the story about how nightmarish it was working on that set? I forget where I read it but it was fucking shocking.

Do you think they'll make ALF bang hoes and get drunk as hell? I'll watch for sure if it happens. Keep the same VA though.
