Yea, it is annoying that you cannot subscribe to a channel within the vita app itself, but I noticed that new videos from my subscriptions turn up under the recommended section, so it still isn't that bad. At least, I've only subscribed to the giantbomb and gametrailers channels, and new videos for both turn up on my vita.

Hopefully sony continues linux support on consoles and figured out what mistakes they made with otherOS.
The appleTV app is actually good. Sadly the appletv remote has no keys but I can use my iphone to control my appletv for anything requiring lots of text like account sign up (which is really only one time). No surprise there since google owns youtube.

Hulu Desktop and Amazon Prime worked out well and were before the 360 versions. I also found Netflix to be better on PS3, until netflix started screwing around messed them all up except for the AppleTV version, which is still not as good as it used to be.

2. The iOS app is garbage and can only handle a handful of subscriptions and cuts off for me at like letter "g." 3. Youtube in a browser on iOS works great! |

The PS3 is quickly becoming the media hub of my living room. I already got rid of my WDTV a long time ago and decided against an Apple TV.

It kills me that one first party dev has features and tools that another first party dev does not. Like Airplay would display your iphone/ipad to your appletv? |

EDIT: Oh and fuck that Nexus Q thing. Those same exact features are what this Youtube remote stuff does. They added that stuff to the Youtube app because the Nexus Q was coming out. It just so happens that it works with the already in place leanback remote pairing. Take that Nexus Q software work and put it into standard Android and open that API for any app dev to use you bastards! You already have Google TV why...

"Your phone as a remote: With a quick pairing process, you can control YouTube on PS3 with a smartphone. Find a video on your phone and with a button it’ll play on the big screen. While the video is playing you can control it from the phone, or keep browsing YouTube for the next one."
WHAT WHAT!! Please tell me Vita pairing also works! D: |

The pairing is awesome in theory but unless you leave your TV on and PS3 Youtube app open and sit and watch Youtube all day:

Would be pretty pathetic if it didn't given that I can watch HD YouTube videos on my phone.

It's true for navigation and search, but now I choose to watch Youtube on TV exclusively because of it's superior video quality (as well as enjoying it on a TV).
