Also, judging by the TP counter in all the images, you can start each encounter with 1000 instead of having to build it up? Idk for sure, but the screens make it look that way.

I honestly don't understand how this could have come from the same company that was responsible for the FF7 pc rerelease. It's almost unsettling, like I'm waiting to see what trademark SE badness is in 2.0.

I thought that campaign was still going on! They said we have to just pay for 3 months up to when the beta comes out! The beta isn't out yet... is it????

Well, if it's worth anything, XIV isn't part of FNC as far as I know.

All that got washed away with the initial beta and 1.0 sludge. Should be just shiny Final Fantasy goodness left. Plus YoshiP and the new staff additions are pretty dedicated.

I know, but they've worked in other elements from past Final Fantasy games in an Eorzean fashion. Personally I want to see how Atmos ties into all this now, but I guess thats more for the Community thread.

The requirements were you had to have a registered account before May 31st and pay for 3 months before beta.

Yeah plus S-E isnt known for setting the game to max for screens for whatever reason.

For those interested, a look at whats currently going on:

Dalamud (meteor) generating Aether reactions (aurora) and smaller pieces falling to Eorzea.

Garlean forces are approaching.

And Atmos has appeared for some reason or another.

Probably jump...but then again you never know lol. Chocobos are supposed to be used in combat at some point.

There's something kinda unique about XIV... unlike all the other MMOs where initial failure means free-to-play or the end of servers, they HAVE to make it a good game eventually. A good thing for FF fans.

As far as I know everyone with the current version will be able to upgrade to 2.0 for free.

It's a free update if you already own the game. But I don't think the game will still be under $20 for PC once 2.0 launches.

Everyone who purchased XIV, regardless of whether they subscribed or not will get it for free. It won't be a patch though, a new client download.

It's that something uniqueness that XI had too. What other game can suck you back in even if only for a month 10 years later?
