Btw, third parties are selling nicely on 3DS: Rune Factory IV is on the way to become the best selling entry in the series, Little Battlers eXperience: Explosive Boost is selling way above many people expectations, and it's the third version of the same game (next week should increase thanks to Obon), Monster Hunter 3G still in chart (and growing!) after 8 months, etc.

It's a sort of action/strategy game based on a TV show. It's the second time it jumps in the chart, which means it has been sold out at least twice and Namco Bandai is not able to fully satisfy the demand. But such numbers are incredible from a game out of nowhere.

It'll probably be a repeat of the DS/Wii situtation. Nintendo will release Zelda 3DS and Pokemon 3DS and then basically abandon 3DS (leave the 3DS to 3rd parties) to focus on selling Wii U. Nintendo certainly doesn't have the resources to support both adequately.

DS was destroying everything and that didn't help the Wii with 3rd parties. Japanese 3rd parties who are going to make HD console games don't only have Japan in mind all the time. Nintendo has a bigger chance though certainly. Their relationship with Japanese 3rd parties is much better than with the west.

The 3DS will also do 3m YTD before the Vita reaches 500k YTD....sad times for the device. I would say it deserves better, but I sold mine after becoming disenchanted with the software offering. Next year might be differen though.

Vita should get a nice Miku bump this month though, and there's some other appealing fall software that may keep it above 10k weekly (Ys IVr, LBXW, etc). It'll be a close race imo.
