I'm somewhat excited to finally know what the price is. I do kind of feel like Nintendo waited way too long to announce the price though. It'll also be interesting to see how preorders do since there will only be 2 months or so till launch.
I imagine they will also discuss demo units going up on stores in this conference. |

Calendar marked and I am ready! I hope we get to hear about all of these rumored 3rd party games (BLOPS2?) and get some solid info on what the Nintendo studios have really been up to in regards to Wii U development. Also, a very clear understanding of their online infrastructure, as in what does it have that has not been announced yet?

It seems so far but in reality it's only about 3 weeks... So hyped :)
Only downside is that it matches up nicely with the Wii September Conference. This makes me believe the November 18th guesses will be spot on or very close. Still have my fingers crossed for October either way. |

Ah, the infamous Wii3 event. Wasn't that three days, though? And Nintendo had 1st party announcements at all three events if I remember correctly. That was glorious.

They may also decide to release Wii U in the US first and in Japan shortly later on, too bad I have a hunch Europe will have to wait... |

The Fall Conference for the Wii their was so there should be one for the Wii U.
Their BETTER be That's because Nintendo announced 2007 games for the Wii at E3 2006, unlike they did for the Wii U for 2013 games at E3 2012. |

There were a some unveilings in the Japanese conference just a few hours before the NA one though. Stuff like Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles, Pokemon, etc. iirc.

So Nintendo is basically taking out a page out of Apples playbook when it comes to announcing a product. Pretty smart if you ask me. Let's hope they knock it out the box!
$300.00 for the hardware plus a pack-in game (Nintendo Land or some other game that uses the gamepad) and i'm sold. |
