They...kind of ARE equals? WW is one of the few capes that Superman considers on his level, both mentally and physically, and she's up there in the power levels.

She may not have the raw strength and powers of Superman but she could definitely be one of the few legitimate threats to him on the planet.

Comic book nerdfight time: Since Superman has weak defenses against magic, she could load up on all her mythological weaponry and really put up a fair fight, possibly even killing him. Of course, he's also super fast and would probably still win. Actually, Goku would.

Point is that WW IS one of the few female supers that can be considered an equal. Maybe Powergirl, though she doesn't get as much airtime.

Yeah, but more like the future - in teh end of the story, which is a few decades to the future of a typical DC timeline, Clark and Diana announce that she's pregnant, and although Clark's the father, they want Bruce to raise the kid, for the sake of a human perspective like Clark had, but also bruce's smarts.



I didn't even know about this Steve guy Diana's supposed to be with - I don't really follow WW comics, and always get the nagging impression DC doesn't know what to do with her other than keep her around as THE iconic female superhero, with not much else to work from - she's strong, has some bullet-proof bracelets (actual full body armor in Kingdom Come though, no idea why she's so exposed every other time, is that bracelet material that rare?...), and the lasso of truth, which AFAIK anyone else might be able to use (unless it's got a Mjolnir thing going on where only she can use it).

Here's hoping the writing handles this (and its implications) decently...
