Once you get past the lol-boobs aspect of Power Girl, she is a pretty fun character. She's everything that Superman and Supergirl and Superboy will never be; completely at ease with who and what she is. Yeah, the writer sometimes shoe horn in some emo moments like the above one, but if I am remembering correctly, isn't that the run where Psycho Pirate is mind-fucking with her because they are the only ones who remember their Earth that no longer exists? I'd have to dig that run out again to be sure.

The art and writing of power girl went down the toilet after jimmy palmiotti, justin gray, and amanda conner left. PG was less sexy, and the comic became way too serious. Same damn thing happened to She-Hulk. Both DC and Marvel had an awesome thing going with both those characters, and then they took out all the fun and made them like every other comic.
