Why is it that if someone prefers Nolan Bat films or Burton Bat films they feel compelled to hate on the other? Also Nolan Bat films take a giant dump on Burton's, saw them last month and they made cringe like nothing else and yes I can go back and enjoy Adam West Batman. Burton's just feels so alien and stupid, Im an 80's kid too and I have no nostalgia for these films. The only thing I liked was Basinger as Vale.

I'm a huge Jack Nicholson fan, but Ledger outdid him tenfold -- and that's due to no fault of Jack. He did the best with the shit script he was given -- and probably gave the character even more than what was available. |

Watched lots of TAS when I was little, didn't see '89 until I was like... 9 or 10? Didn't care for it then. If it's a 'you had to be there'/nostalgia thing then... well I don't know what to tell you. |

Because IGN needs hits, so they're comparing the 2nd highest ticket selling Batman to the 3rd highest and we get the hilarity of this thread.

Luckily though it was when I worked at a theater so I didn't have to pay for it either time I saw it. Still though... ...yuck. |

Probably he was the best, but just sticking with movies.
But you're totally wrong. Ledger made him look like a brooding, serious psychopath and criminal mastermind. While Nicholson made him seem like somebody who only enjoyed destruction and chaos and would actually laugh in a non-sarcastic way. |

I don't think any Batman flick will come close to the 89 in most respects. It just had too much going for it, and Nicholson's Joker was spot on. He captured that hint of diabolic evil that the Comic Joker had picked up in the 80s, while retaining that sense of 'crazy fun.' You could party with him all night, and then he would shoot you at sunrise.

Spider-Man 3 was another turd that could be easily dismissed as "it's just Raimi being Raimi and campy and super awesome crazy, you guys just don't understand!"
Actually, that's the best comparison out there. Batman/Batman Returns is akin to Spider-Man 3. And I love the Evil Dead series, so I am not beyond understanding crazy/campy. |

No Im talking about the real Nolan Bane who escaped from a falling plane, had an awesome showdown with the bat and took down an entire city all while having the best lines.

Maybe more people went because tickets were cheaper? Idk.
Both good movies. I prefer the Nolan stuff though. Makes me think about the game publishers and how some just give revenue and not units sold. I like the ticket breakdowns.

Nolan seemed like he was more interested in making documentaries about crime in like Boston and the problems with the legal system in America rather than actually creating good comic movies. If you go back and watch Begins the movie was like a student film it was poorly edited and the action scenes were abysmal. It took him three movies to finally learn how to shoot a picture.

LeBron loves his girlfriend. There is no other woman in the world he’d rather have. The problem is, Dwyane’s not a woman.
