Fuck yeah! This week's Marvel Monday sale on Comixology is The Mighty Avengers. Now, #1-20 was written by Bendis and is kinda meh. BUT. Issues #21-36 was Dan Slott's run and is honestly some of my favorite Avengers stories from the last five years. Hank Pym led a rag-tag group of C-listers and actually saved the damn world. Not much in the way of eating Chinese food and witty banter. This is the Earth's Mightiest Heroes, straight up. Seriously, get it.

Seriously, that was one of the most crazy-fun books Marvel's published in forever. I think people ignored it because of the art (the Khoi Pham fanclub is not that large), but I was genuinely ticked when they axed it in favour of two kinda redundant Bendis books. Slott made Hank Pym into Super Dr. Who, with pocket universes and meetings with Eternity and all the crazy pseudo superscience he could think of.

It sucks. Like some of the worst, most boring stuff you can read. It was actually canceled for a while and they just kept publishing new issues with repeats of the same stories.

Saucer Country lost me at issue #5, i was intrigued by the first issue but it didn't quite click for me. Maybe it was a little too serious and it wasn't what i was looking for, or i'm reading too many books and need to cut back anyways.

For me it's the most fun, purest comic book out there. But if you don't like Spider Island it may not be for you. Easily my favorite Spider run.

I loved everything he was doing up to Spider Island, but that particular arc did nothing for me.

I'm not really liking Gage's Angel and Faith series, the main plot point of trying to bring Giles back to live just hasn't been very engaging. I'm up to issue 5 now but i have a stack of issues to get through since i've ordered them all.

Edit: Read issue 6 just now, feels like this is how the series should have started, maybe it will pick up from here.

I only started really reading comics last year when Spider Island was happening so I don't have any knowledge of prior Spidey runs but I have loved it thus far. It's consistently one of my favorite books (even when Ramos is on art *grumble*).

I got to disagree. The stories involving the Think Tank have been really interesting for the Peter Parker side of things. It's like going back to the days when he was a teacher.

I love the new Worlds Finest comics, i think the chemistry between Enchantress and Powergirl is just amazing....probably my favorite duo right now.

Always most to least. I get comics on Wednesdays so I'm already psyched for the stuff I'm psyched for most. Why would I torture myself further?

I remember when Final Crisis was going, I shopped at Midtown before work. They open at 8. I literally ran from the train to the store on FC days. Best event series ever.
