Anything with cherry filling. Put a glaze on, use a thick dough, good times.

Holy crap, those Top Pot donuts in Seattle are fucking HUGE. I think I'll be up for two days now based off the last one I ate tonight.

Keep the terrible cheap candy sprinkles off mine though. Those things hurt my teeth.

For some reason they're the only donuts that don't give me a stomach ache.

Anytime I go to the donut shop I always end up getting a blueberry cream cheese pastry instead. But if I eat a donut it's usually one of those ones with pink frosting or an old fashioned chocolate.

Chocolate glaze with cream.

Looking at the picture of the bacon donut is making me feel like I have a heart attack. In a good way.

I have simple tastes. A plain cake donut, if made right, is perfect.

Sometimes, glazed blueberry cake donuts if I want to indulge.

Looks more annoying to eat than anything.

As for me, any custard filled or berry filled donut.

I'm also fond of those convenience store packs of six little chocolate donuts. One pack is like half a day's worth of saturated fat and sugar, though.

I really like Tim Horton's honey cruller and Boston cream donuts. Great with coffee.

Edit: Even just plain is great sometimes, too.

not this brand, but the style of coffee donut. I'll get a plain, 2 glazed and a chocolate and tupperware them for eating over the next week. So good and easy to portion just by snapping the edges and then snapping the middle piece into two.

and donut holes

and bear claws

and whatever that one in the middle, with the ridges is called... so light and fluffy

When Krispy Kreme was still in my area I wouldn't say they were hard donuts. At all. As long as you ate them fresh and warm, anyway.

Still too much solid material in them. I like the tasty air pockets. I'm specifically referring to their version of the cruller.

None of the donuts in the OP are really that intense taste wise. They just taste really good, and I get them for free. That donut bacon egg cheeseburger is probably more intense than anything in the OP.

There was this little old Mexican lady that came around our neighborhood and she made and sold the most delicious sugar donuts I have ever tasted. They were godly. I have tasted many a donut since that time, but none compare to those simple sugar donuts. Unfortunately for me and everyone in my neighborhood, some salty ass motherfuckers ratted her out to the police for one thing or another and I haven't seen that lady or her donuts since. I think I need a tissue. ;_;

These are so good. I think the only thing better at KK is a hot, fresh glazed ring.

There's a great bakery around here that does a maple glazed, custard filled that I've been craving lately. It's right up there with their maple glazed blueberry cake donut. So awesome.
