Hopefully this encourages some devs.

Too bad this looks to be Vita's only temporary boost for a while.

I guess this shows the power that software has.

Out of interest, what is the next Vita release that will likely boost sales on release week?

EDIT: nice Soul Hackers sales as well

Senran Kagura actually sold stupidly well, too. Already outsold the last known number of its prequel.

The Project Diva series is absolutely huge relative to the rest of Vita's Japanese software lineup. By far the biggest (temporary) exclusive announced for the platform in that region, at this point.

Good Vita numbers compared to what they've been, but I'm not going to celebrate yet. Hopefully this is the turning point for the system.

No idea about Ys, any numbers from previous games? But DJ Max isn't gonna do anything, unless those few KARA songs are gonna make people buy the game in droves.

I think this has far less to do with reasons to buy a PSV and more to do with the lengths Miku fans will go.

For a system that has a 900k userbase... not counting digital downloads. that's easily a 1/4 attach rate, maybe more. I would say not bad. Hopefully there's not a huge drop next week.

Yes, don't celebrate. Vita doesn't have games announced to support this bump.

It will go below 10k in a few weeks again.

Great debuts for both Devil Summoner and Senran Kagura 1.5; they should be able to reach the 100k mark which is pretty good for the respective publishers.

Miku is selling well as usual.

| 3DS # | 67.926 | 64.921 | 55.264 | 3.131.224 | 1.741.979 | 7.266.963 |
| PS3 | 12.846 | 12.243 | 32.969 | 848.346 | 861.033 | 8.265.494 |

Aaaaaand the big run has started: less than one million before surpassing PS3.

EDIT: Yeah, the problem is that this Vita's bump won't last long. There isn't the sofware able to keep the hardware selling not even 25k per week.

These games won't bump the Vita hardware much. They don't sell nearly as well as Miku, not even close.

And this bump won't last long, unfortunately.

It is sort of worrying that new releases and new hardware color bumps bring out the back catalog for the various Nintendo consoles but did nothing at all for the Vita. I guess not many were waiting for Miku and Persona 4, though I guess quite a few that were bought the system when those were announced.
