"U R MR. GAY"
Not endorsing the sentiment; just what that cover image reminded me of. I do kind of dislike how how bubbly Mario's aesthetics have become. Do the turtles really have to pan to the screen fucking dance? Ugh. I want a return of the acid trip that was Mario 2. |

I wasn't thinking about sales when I said that but ok. There's also no guarantee of it doing as well since it's a new system and we just saw the new 3DS game come out to mediocre reception in the NPDs.

Didn't it do similar numbers to the DS game in less amount of time?

For a long time I criticized people who argued that Nintendo's games aren't for "mature" gamers. But that shit looks like it really is for babies. Mario has become ridiculious at how much it panders. How many fucking smiley faces and rainbow vomit of colors can we cram into one image? Dude bro grey and brown aesthetics are boring to look at but so is this.
And this comes from someone who loves Animal Crossing's aesthetic. |

Well when I really think about it now I believe most of the big fall games already had GI covers. Dishonored, Xcom, AC3, Borderlands 2, Halo. Only ones I'm not sure about are Far Cry and Hitman, and COD never gets on the cover surprisingly.

And somehow NSMBU won't be a quality title? It just seemed like a silly remark, that's all. |
