Expected drop for Vita. Should get up a bit the rest of the month with Ys, EDF, DJ Max still to come.

Thought Lost Heroes might have done a little better, but those numbers are probably around what was to be expected.

No, Chris just forgot to include it.

Famitsu has it at roughly 11k this week.

Vita. :(

I didn't expect the bump to last long, but I expected longer than that.

Some massive >80% drops there. Really front-loaded games.

Meanwhile, Run for Money Tousouchuu just keeps on going.

3DS the only one putting up decent numbers this week. Nice to see so many 3DS games in the chart, with both 1st and 3rd party offerings.

Sony really needs to step it up with the Vita.

Miku had a decent second week, was expecting it to vanish. Kept Vita sales a bit higher again too.

On the 3DS side, those sales make me think Nintendo will bring out a 3DS Lite.
XL/Lite would offer consumer choice.

Not my fault, they changed Vita from プレイステーション ヴィータ to プレイステーション Vita, meaning no match

I...I thought Vita would have hold better. I mean, I thought this week it would have done something like 20-25k, and then in a few weeks back to normal.

But no, immediate return to reality. Christ, this thing can't live.

Sony has about eight days to announce something impressive for the system before it's pretty reasonable to assume they're never going to get notable titles again.

At that point a discontinuation (or soft discontinuation where they just let it fade out over time) would likely be the next step in about 6-12 months.

A price cut can't really revive a system if you don't have anything on the system.

I kind of thought Vita numbers would be higher this week. Like, a lot higher. But it's almost back to reality before Hatsune Miku got released. Not good.

Hasn't even had a budget release yet, so 2 million is a pretty safe bet.

I thought so too. Its like the Vita fell down a flight of stairs without hitting any steps along the way. Though I suppose the bump was produced by a very specific segment of the market that would not last for two weeks.

all 3 big new releases from last week dropped hard... still, 200K for Miku and 100K for SH and Burst should still be reachable

EDIT:

Next "big" Vita game is LBP correct?

First week sales

03. [PS3] LittleBigPlanet (SCE) 51,705 / NEW
43. / 00. [PSP] LittleBigPlanet Portable (SCE) :|
05. / 00. [PS3] LittleBigPlanet 2 (SCE) {2011.02.10} - 24.648 / NEW

So I guess we won't see much of a bump from that...

I expected at least +20k sales for its second week...but these result. Why even bother ? At this point Sony has to plan a month long frame where they release a mid seller every week.

I could never count out Sony when it comes to Third party announcements, they have their ties - but at this point i really have to wonder how they can get bigger exclusives for Vita.
