To be honest I knew everything about the iPhone 5 already due to the accurate leaks, but I'm not sold. I have an iPhone 4 and the amount of additional features from the 4 to the 5 is too minimal for me. They're running out of things to put in phones to get me to buy them.

The increase in power is a big deal. Not because Apple will do that much with it, but the apps will. There will be some great stuff coming from Devs.

Is it really? What is taking advantage of the iPhone 4S's performance increase a year after it was released? How many apps do that? Nothing I'm using on my iPhone 4 makes me think, damn I wish I had a faster CPU. I think most apps are aiming at a lower target.

I don't know what else people were honestly expecting? Mind you, I say this as a happy Galaxy Nexus (and iPad) owner. Apple should have went with a wider form factor though, I think just making the thing longer is pretty dumb.

They added LTE, the better processor, made the phone thinner and with a bigger screen. That was about all they had left to do, beyond adding some silly gimmick.

Apple's just announced iPhone 5 will be available in two separate models when it hits shelves on September 21st. According to the official specs page from Apple, there will be separate CDMA and GSM versions of the phone, a break from the iPhone 4S which packed both wireless protocols into the same chassis.

This is where I'm at. I waited in line overnight for both a 3 and a 4, but I'm not even going to preorder the 5. I'm going to wait out to see what the reviews of the Lumia 920 are like, future Google announcements, or even just waiting all together. My 4 doesn't feel slow to me.

Seeing as the 4 is probably my favourite design of anything ever I'm quite surprised by the end result actually after all the leaks.

The charcoal black looks really nice, and with 4G confirmed for the UK that's enough for me to bite.

The weight is pretty impressive. 112g down from 140g for the 4S, and that was already 45g lighter than a Nokia Lumia.

Maybe losing the glass from the back helps, because glass is relatively heavy.
