Nothing will beat the continued rage after they did the "Airplane on the Conveyor Belt" and people still trying to say they were wrong.

I saw one where they try to determine whether fishing line will catch on fire if a fish pulls it really fast. Like was that actually even a myth people were curious about? Then they proceed to drive it into the ground by getting faster and faster things to pull the line, after it's already proven the line won't catch fire. |

Also, the constant myths about: If X is presented, will Y ALWAYS happen? No. Y will not always happen. There is no complex case where Y is a certain outcome. An example: If a car tumbles off of a cliff will it always catch on fire and explode? Also, them doing youtube videos which are so obviously faked in yet they can't tell, like the motorbike dinner cloth pull. |

Haha, yeah, but it was such a boring myth to begin with. By the end I was expecting them to attach a fighter jet to the fishing line. Which actually would have been cool.

Anyways, it's strictly for entertainment. Wouldn't have lasted 10 seasons if it wasn't entertaining somebody somewhere. |

I love me some Mythbusters. :D
And to those asking why didn't they trade positions.... apparently you've never been in water that cold. Your body would shut down in minutes, if not seconds. He'd be in no condition to pull himself up onto the board. It would be all or nothing right away. |

This.
Rose is an asshole for lying and needlessly wasting her grand-daughter & everyone else time, just so she can tell a boring story and score a free boat ride (like a boss). All that for the ridiculous purpose of denying humanity of a piece of valuable jewel. Which she nor jack paid or contributed a single cent for.

She didn't care enough to be with her husband in heaven. Instead she goes to be with the person she knew for far less time. Way to leave the father of your children in the dark. What about her children and grandchild, they sure as hell aren't going to Titanic heaven. Hell, she doesn't even have picture of her family, just a bunch of picture of herself.

She is seriously one of the worst characters in that movie. She should be at the bottom of the ocean, not Jack. Didn't she jump off a damn lifeboat at one point? Taking up limited space someone else could have used to save their life. She's responsible for the death of someone else other than Jack. Don't forget that! |

Also, I like to imagine how awkward it will be when her ghost joins Jack and the Butler and Cal are there trying to murder them for eternity. |

I think they screwed it up too: the final myth was performed by dragging the mat along the ground, but their model plane test was on a static conveyor belt where there was no forward momentum for the wings to lift the plane.

Does it really matter? A conveyer belt won't stop a plane from moving forward any more than a conveyer belt would stop a boat from moving forward.

Mythbusters are just appealing to the lowest common denominator, their fans-

Didn't GAF already have a thread a year ago where GAF debunked this.
Just because there is enough surface area, that doesn't mean it has enough buoyancy. Duh. He could have gotten on it but they both would have then died from exposure.

I never thought that buoyancy was the issue, more about stability. Just because it flipped when jack tried to get on doesn't mean it wouldn't take his weight. Just that rose would need to counterbalance better.
If mythbusters shows jack could have survived, will they continue to add people until it fails? Or just blow it up |
