I wonder what would happen if people in the west now went out on the streets and protested against these protests, burning down the embassies of these countries.
It would be like a protest paradox. Like a black hole of protests. |

A few dozen terrorists fly planes into our buildings, we start 2 wars 1 of which is invading an unrelated arab nation.
Some dumbass makes a video. Violent islamic fundamentalists burn some embassies. I vote we invade Iran. |

Jesus is fair game but better not insult Mohammad! Seeing as Islam is the biggest religion in the world, more people will be upset about it. I really think Islam is the most violent religion in the world today though, some seem to think that violence fixes everything.

That's right. I don't even understand why people are still talking about the movie and not the root causes of all of this. The movie is just being used as a vehicle to incite the people.

Pull out the embassy staff from each country and leave the entire region to themselves. If they want to live in their own dark age then let them.
"Islam is a peaceful religion" loses all meaning when all we see is looting, rioting and murder. |

Certainly, the uneducated and extremist could be swayed by whatever their religious leader tells them (like in the US with our fair amount of whackjob radio hosts) but the violence must stem from something deeper. These calls for war, and dismissal of entire countries/religions based on the acts of a select few...it's using culture clash as a basis for war. Either you value human life, or you don't. There are no winners here. RIP Chris |

The hate is understandable when people look no further than the idiots who make the most noise. Shame that the idiots who pull shit like this don't understand that. They think they're doing 'what God wants' or what the prophet wants or some stupid crap like that. They're not educated and ruin the image of every single sane Muslim out there. This whole situation is stupid. A racist fucking dumbass makes an insulting childish video. He knows idiots are going to fall for the bait and the idiots come out in full force. The idiots then go on to kill people and make everyone else look bad. Idiots all around. |

It's ridiculous how alarmist some people are being over these protests. Libya and Tunisia are on the right track, a healthy situation to grow their parliamentary democracies. There will be hiccups to come, especially from the Salafist Islamists that can feel any control they once had quickly fading. These countries have for the most part overwhelmingly rejected fundamental Islamists.
