KFC, meanwhile, has a large established customer base that loves the old taste, which means they won't ever change how they do what they do because they don't need to. They do things the old way. Popeye's does it the new way.

But, like I said, I got love for both. Lee's, Church's, and so on. It's fried chicken, you can't really go wrong.

(KFC slaw is on point, but seriously that's it. unless you're in a white area and they have the green beans with the red peppers and spices instead of just salty brine. Those KFCs will surprise you. Moist chicken, fresh biscuits. It's almost like its not even a KFC.)

Popeyes just always gives me fuller, fresher, warmer, crispier chicken. And the biscuits are amazing too. All the KFC's nearby give you tiny shriveled pieces of room temperature chicken with a crust that tastes like ass. Although the double down is pretty good.
