I got the new store in Australia.
It is an absolute disgrace, loads slower, takes many more selections to find what you want. Ease of use sacrificed to have huge advertising jammed in your face. Forced to pass over 2 pages of advertising to get to the new games sections. Didn't think Sony would be as shit as Microsoft and make their store just as bad but I guess I was wrong.

All I wanted to do was try the PSASBR beta...
- Add to cart - View cart - Checkout - Confirm purchase - Download - Download in background Fuck off. All I want is a list of the new shit on the store, but now they've split it into five different categories, so I have to trawl each of them to see everything. You keep diving into new screens filled with rectangles that you forget which category you're in in the first place. It looks nice, but is a UI disaster. I think they're hoping you catch yourself browsing through the mess and find something cool to buy, but then buying something is such a pain in the ass that you won't even bother. Awful. Just awful.

They might as well had put the Store into Home if speed wasn't their priority. |

DLC being listed on game pages is my favourite new feature. Otherwise, it seems like a turn for the worse. Especially if I can't even use my f'n Visa debit card on it anymore. TurkishEmperor, the download list is the same as always but with a MUCH slower scrolling speed. |

DLC for a game should have always been in the game category, like the US store. At least some good came out of this. |

I think you've confused what I was saying there. I'm talking about how games, their DLC, their demos and media are all consolidated onto a single page, like Steam. It's a much more cohesive setup.

anyone know if the new tech their using for the store (HTML5 is it?) will it be easier to change things around again, so it doesn't take 5 steps to download a demo?
will it be much easier to update stuff on the fly on their end? |

Triangle > Store > Games > Latest > PS3 Games Though even then, that just results in another splash page with new games. If you want to look at the full list of games, you need to scroll right through two pages and select 'All Latest Games'. It's a mess. |

It was easy to predict that it is going to be slow. What I did not expect were the huge ads pushed so deep into your retinas they're coming out the anus. |

Well Im just guessing but due to the overall cosmetical and functional change, plus updating all regions with that... might contribute to slow loading times.
