Of course it's coming out, no way will 2k cancel a game that has been in development for so long and ran up a hefty bill no doubt.l Whether or not the game will live up to the hype is another matter entirely though.

They looked more cartoonish in the old concept although Elizabeth doesn't suffer as much (mostly a change of eyes).

Yeah I'm going to stick with my assessment that Booker is the different one:

Both look different but Booker is the more dramatic (jawline, head shape, dress).

Makes him look much older. They probably painted over a real-life source.

It'll be interesting to see if it translates in-game.

I have been out of the BI loop for a while. Last I checked, I heard that they were having trouble fitting their vision into the game. I am surprised to hear that they are coming out with the game soon.

I don't believe anything, that's the problem. I'm a fan of BioShock, so I'm looking forward to the game. The constant negative news surrounding this game and its development has left me slightly worried.

I'm just looking for something to justify my interest and excitement for this game, which a 2 minute trailer can do just fine.

Since they had that "vote what you want to see" thing I'm guessing they have several short gameplay clips and the winner will be the first shown with the others in coming days, maybe leading up to some other media coverage or something.

Anyway, I'm glad silence is braking on the game. I wasn't expecting it to make February but I've never doubted the quality of the final game. Preordered the Premium Edition. Really looking forward to this.

Assassin's Creed III did that once. This countdown was voting for what you want to see.

I wouldn't say pushed out the door but I see it being a smart business decision to release it in February.
This is probably their 11th hour window to hit set by T2.

Nothing is coming out Dec-Feb, so I'm sure this will allow them to properly market and generate a good buzz before GTA V.
(Dead Space is well-done and much loved on GAF but won't compete).

They can market it as the first 2013 "must have" game of the year.

Based off the two images posted in this thread, they don't look any different at all. The Character designs seem pretty much exactly the same, the only difference is the choice of artist interpreting the designs.

Booker's wearing the same shirt, same vest, same rolled up sleeves, same froofy red tie/neckerchief, same stubbled face, same wavy hair.

Elizabeth's got the same blue jacket, same bustier, same haircut.

I loved this old concept art, but I don't mind too much if they tweaked it a little as long as its... soul/essence? remains intact. I am curious how it's turned out after all this turmoil.

Edit: I think FatboyRoberts has it right. Looks like interpretations of two different artists, not a retool of the design.
