What can be done at this point? If you pitch something to a publisher, they'll just look at these sales and say no thanks. They need to do something big 1st party wise.

I don't even think Sony can even do anything the third parties in Japan at this point. Vita is pretty much 360 level. Barely anyone is going to want to develop for it money hats or not. It's only on Sony software to save this.

Even if they did it will take months, years maybe before these games see the light of day, that’s not going to help them right now

Too bad those games are getting sacrificed and torn to pieces when they release, I'd like SS to do well but if it releases alongside MH4 it's going to be in twouble..

![]() Absolutely amazing debut for Animal Crossing (especially considering DD Cards, as Famitsu seems to do), and very solid week for 3DS hw numbers. Also other 3DS softwares are doing well (New Mario is holding, BDFF too) Everything else is flat (PS3, maybe PSP) or very bad (everything else) |

It'll boost sales, by how much is the question. If not by very much with these sales in Japan, I can't see much of a reason for Sony not to call it quits, unless they're somehow breaking even/ hoestly expecting to make a profit down the line from it.

Estimated weeks?
Considering that this week 3DS numbers are due to AC debut and that AC is the biggest title of the entire holiday period (so I think that next week's numbers will be way lower than this), could we estimate if it will be able to catch PS3 LTD within the end of the year? If I have to bet, I'd say no. |

Question, the 3DS is a mammoth, it has what can be the best games JP can give it; MH4 and DQ7, SMT4 can count too, what other games could it get? I think anything is realistic at this point.
Persona? (regardless of the E3 list already claiming so), FF7? We know it's sure to get DQ11. What do you think? |

3DS has to regain 500K over PS3 LTD to catch it: do you think that's doable within December 3qst 2012? BTW, it's obviously just a "game": if it will not be able to surpass PS3's LTD numbers within end of December, it will probably be able to do this in few more weeks, and nothing changes in terms of 3DS success. |
