Nintendo has announced that nearly 6 million 3DS consoles, both the original and the XL model, have been sold in the US.
Worldwide game sales are up to 64.45 million units from launch until September 30.
In total, Nintendo has sold more than 22 million 3DS units globally as of September 30.
To coincide with the sales announcements, Nintendo has announced a limited flame red 3DS bundle, which includes a copy of Super Mario 3D Land preinstalled.
It will retail for $170, and will be available during the Black Friday post-Thanksgiving shopping frenzy.
22 million is healthy.
Hopefully it can replicate last holidays insanity.
As of june 30 Vita sales were at 2.2 million worldwide. That's the last number we got.
How's the Vita doing?
It's going to be Vita's second Holiday season in Japan too.
Now you have done it. What is this, 2nd holiday for 3DS?
Also, as soon as it gets Monster Hunter 4 and Pokemon 3D, we should see a big boost.
2013 is the year of the Vita.
Hitting it's stride™
I don't know if it's fun or sad to read those threads now.
You were a member here since 2009, there is no way you did not see the 3ds to PSP comparisons. The Vita parade had already been planned when comparing power, effectively calling the 3ds "last gen."
yes, but this is nothing new for recent Nintendo and especially not handheld Nintendo. they're always underpowered compared to competition. there's really no comparison when it comes to power, the Vita is obviously much better in that regard.
