Although this is the first I've heard of it, Etherlord looks interesting to me since it has some TCG elements in it
I think it compounds the perception a bit with the Mac release of Geneforge in between, too, even though that's not really a new game
Just wait until you get to MoTB. It's one of the best RPG's ever made, imo.Originally Posted by nerdy1redux

Anyway, I love this game!! Back when it first came out I couldn't get a playable framerate but now with my GTX 670 I'm smashing it. The gameplay is amazing, the music is amazing, and the graphics really, really, hold up! Sure, the companion AI kind of sucks and some of the loot gathering is antiquated, but the game play is top notch. The game so reminds me of my D&D days back in the late 80's and the awesome sessions that my friends and I used to play. THACO, +5 Holy Avenger, and Saving Throws!!!
I would rather have something good released as soon as possible. I always wait for sales, and the sooner something is released, the sooner it could be on sale.I like Spiderweb, really I do, but I can't help but think their games are being released a little too rapidly at the moment. Avernum was, what, two/three weeks ago?

They've also started a new Bundle for certain series:

I have a sneaking suspicion it might actually do well for GoG simply because of the reputation it has, now. I've certainly got a morbid curiosity about it.
Holy shit. I know how bad it is, and still somewhere in the back of my mind, something is telling me to "go ahead, get it for historical purposes/the lulz".

GoG is testing us.
(Hmmm. I wonder if people would be up for a 'suicide pact' of sorts; several buy in for the purposes of an LTTP discussion. I mean, it's certainly an *interesting* artifact!)
I'd almost be down for doing a suicide-pact LTTP. I could always see if my brothers cd copy works on windows7 as well...Same.

What the hell am I saying?
2's song isn't as good as the first's is my first impression.
Tomb Raider
Deus Ex
Legacy of Kain
Hitman
Thief
...plus a bunch of one-off titles (Startopia! ANACHRONOX!)
I heard that one of the reason the single player is shitty was because the dev teams spent too much time playing deathmatch with each other.Originally Posted by plagiarize

Might pick up the Tomb Raider pack. Been wanting to go back through the original games.Weekend Promo: Squeenix Stuff

I doubt that was what he meant though. If we call a release old if it's ~10+ years from the original release date, looking back the past two years saw roughly:
2011: 60 older releases, 26 newer releases
2012: 68 older releases, 95 newer releases
Yeah would be awesome if we could pickup Tomb Raider, Crysis 3, Resident Evil: Revelations this year on GoG, and so on and so on.i wish one day such a drm free service would offer the latest games
It's quite plausible given the personalities involved, and knowing how fun the deathmatch was :) The skill ceiling was ridiculously high.I heard that one of the reason the single player is shitty was because the dev teams spent too much time playing deathmatch with each other.
No, he said "new". But Minsc said "newer", which is actually more relevant to this digital service based on good OLD games and their general focus so far. Honestly, DRM Free would be fantastic with a larger number of new releases, but their offering new releases isn't really up to them to begin with.I doubt that was what he meant though.
I was going to get Soul Reaver 2 since I remember hating "the one you control Kain in" but it seems there are two of those and the latest includes Raziel and doesn't ditch all that made Soul Reaver great in favor of linear hack and slash levels etc..?
I don't see Blood Omen on gog?Is Blood Omen worth getting?
The original Blood Omen is not available on GOG. Blood Omen 2 wasn't that great which is why he might be referring to.Originally Posted by Alextended

Well guess I'll grab Hitman 2 tomorrow then.
I loved both Soul Reaver 2 and Defiance, but 2 is my favorite.Originally Posted by Alextended

Sounds like they are trying to (have?) get the rights to System Shock 2?
System Shock, the cult favorite PC horror franchise, is ready for new life incredibly soon, FleshEatingZipper has learned. According to our sources, a “new development/publishing studio will be handling the release”, spearheaded with a new digital release of System Shock 2 on GOG within days, the perfect starting point for any classic PC gaming connoisseur. A Steam release is said to follow at a later, undetermined date.
They appended the article to this message: "The Von Braun is boarding for her maiden voyage. Are you ready to see the stars?"The extra content being bundled as part of the GOG release will be “well worth the price”, we’re told.
