I would recommend Avidemux + Jasc animation shop as a combo, free and once you get the hang of it, can make gifs pretty quickly. The programs to use
- Fraps
- VirtualDub
- Photoshop (Tutorial)
Virtual Dub lets you convert videos into GIF's or spit out an image sequence and edit it elsewhere like photoshop.

Ahh thanks a ton for pointing that out. I completely forgot to look for the flash gif fix after switching to Win 8. Disabling that did wonders for me.chrome://plugins/ in your browser bar, expand Adobe Flash Player (2 files), disable pepperflash - Enjoy a smooth(er) experience.
If you can post some proper links i'd be glad to add them by your recommendation.Originally Posted by Messofanego

Great shot and love the loop.
Apparently Photoshop has an issue with displaying frames at a hundredth of a second.
These are shot at 120 fps and slowed down

God I hope that's what we can expect from next-gen hair. Faces are starting to look pretty good, but hair is still off.Originally Posted by EatChildren

Was playing FUBAR difficulty when Adams took a direct grenade hit and fell down the steps. He was never the same afterwards...
You get pretty bad image quality with Avidemux. For exporting Fraps AVIs into HQ image sequences, VirtualDub is the best. Jasc Animation Shop kicks ass.Originally Posted by Messofanego

EDIT: 3DMark06 still looks good. Had to cull this one in JAS (15fps instead of 30) to get the filesize down. The 30fps animated PNG version takes up 74MB :D

there are moments where this game looks flipping unbelievable.
If you've got photoshop, I'd recommend redoing your VirtualDub GIF's through there. The file sizes come out much smaller with very minimal difference. You get pretty bad image quality with Avidemux.
