Really cool idea, great GIF.Playing around in Anteworld.

Longer gif, the full sequence, but smaller and less frames *sadface*

The crippled PVD Hope makes a valiant sacrifice in an attempt to take out the Hades
It's kind of hilarious to see that Typhon going into the Hades and doing nothing to it.
Make sure you also play Blue Planet War in Heaven if you haven't already

I put Virtual Dub in the OP because you can convert video to GIFs with it.
I did that, but the gif was too big, i wasn't able to change the resolution. Why are you saving a bunch of jpegs and not just converting video to gif?

Don't worry i am making it with the gimp, uploading now.
I was planning on just doing the main story (FS1 > STR > FS2), I'm pretty skeptical about mod quality (never played the original ST, and STR seemed like a good update), but I'll give Blue Planet a try!Nice to see some Silent Threat Reborn in here.

So does that make for a better filesize? I like awesome GIF, but just as he's doing, I'm exporting them from Vdub in jpeg format, and putting the frames together in animation shop.Video,
filters,
add,
resize,
input your size,
ok,
ok,
file,
export,
Animated Gif.

Yeah it should help. A smaller image will always be a smaller file size.Originally Posted by legacyzero

All the necessary instructions should be in those threads, but here's another guide to setting things up (has some important information regarding the GOG install, step 4) http://www.hard-light.net/forums/ind...?topic=78710.0
And I'd highly recommend downloading and playing these first, the FreeSpace 1 campaign + expansion converted into FreeSpace 2, for story's sake.

Blue Planet in particular does some really great stuff with the FS2 engine. It's made by the same team that did STR so you can expect the same level of quality.Originally Posted by Sax Russel

It's pretty much what I imagine the story of FS3 would be, and I believe it's writers have actually talked with Volition on where they intended to go with the series.

Gave it a go, how's this! With a smooth frame rate, this would look really great.
