The Epic rep is referring to Samaritan. It was running on 3 GTX580s. It was then optimized to run on 1 GTX680, by ditching MSAA for FXAA (perhaps other optimizations as well).

SW1313 was running on a machine with 3 GTX680s.

Well going by what we saw on this game we're not going to get some amazing game or anything. It's an ultra linear 3rd person shooter, the whole appeal is in those next gen graphics.

And even if it's a good game I'd rather get the far superior looking one. There's no reason to buy it on PS3 when it's going to look horrible in comparison. It'll be so bad it'll make some of these current gen games look a lot closer to their PC versions.

Yeah. I believe the effects and visuals will be downgraded to eternity for current-gen systems. Think Assassin's Creed 3 trailer to final release.

I believe quite a few games will be ported over to PS3 and 360 for at least a few years until or unless the production is abruptly ended similar to that of original Xbox.

I would so love for this rumour to be true, I remember really enjoying Bounty Hunter when it came out as we got to play as Jango, and while it was a bit Janky and very much played like a PS2 era game it was a fun. But to have a proper Boba Fett game would be simply fantastic, the character was never properly explored enough so having a full proper title and to look this good would be sweet.

They will maybe use large processing power of SPE's to create their particle effects. But everything will be downgraded to oblivion. No matter what, Im gonna play this on a PC.

If you say so, consoles and PC's move very much together as much as enthusiast on either side would like to deny it.

PC gaming while obviously looking much nicer is still held back by current generation consoles in many regards, you can mod a game like Skyrim to hell and back or turn up BF3 to the highest it can go, but these games as they are when released are still designed around the fundamentals of 7 year old hardware, when next-gen arrives we will get a proper jump forward on both fronts.
