Better image: Now that I look at it, the black marks/gouges on the ship could likely be black spaces in the image. Does anybody see a correlation?

There are circular patterns etched on the Traveller, same with the distorted left image. Not sure if they're related, but it did refer to uv mapping didn't it?

If by "released several years ago" you mean less than a year, yes. It was signed in April 2010, so yes, things could have changed, but that's just going by what we know.

I would guess, given the name of the page is that. And in our universe it's a star what we are decoding is a message from that star. With each user acting as a node, decoding the message.

Yeah, audacity allows you to import raw data, I just used the geomask image as the raw data and slowed it down quite a bit.

And that particular statement sounds more like a caveat added if they didn't have the resources to produce for the ps3, since they had just recently left ms.

A potential indication of that change is that there was a leaked image that had a PS3 and 360 logo on it. That wouldn't happen if the timed exclusivity were still in effect.
