I think they just reserve these as a "just in case" kind of thing. Nintendo has been doing that for years, so it wouldn't surprise me if Rare picked up some of their habits.

If they are making another KI I hope they partner with Netherealm. They could and should just release KI 1/2 HD with online play and I would be happy.

Unless they outsourced Killer Instinct, I doubt Rare can pull off a fighting game. It'll be a Tao Feng kind of mess their way.

That said, I'm not expecting any of this to be real.

This obviously means that Rare is bringing every single one of their old franchises back as Xbox One games. It can't possibly mean that they are just making web pages for their properties.

Years ago I'd be throwing my wallet at them right about for a new Battletoads, quite honestly I wouldn't even trust Rare with a HD remake at this point.

Just because Rare is resuscitating these games doesn't mean that they're going to go anywhere after the shoddy initial entry.
