Sorry dude, I can't for the life of me remember. =/So Ryouga, can you tell me if the cinematics are subbed please ?
I just saw a japanese portion of the game which had what looked like a movie and subbs, but with my past experience with Atlus games I prefer to double check.
Edit:
eShop purchases only, sucks. :(
Iameregister FEA and SMT IV on club nintendo and you get 30 bucks of eshop money.
Deal was leaked early and got removed. Probably saving it for next week when SMTIV is out
Edit : apparently it has to be eshop purchases though which i guess heals the wounds of not getting the physical copy extras
Why wouldn't you get the 30 dollar credit? Have Canadians been getting the shaft with eShop games and no one told me?!Crap! Totally forgot about this since I'm using the Canada trick to buy games on the eShop. Would suck so bad if I won't be able to get that $30 credit :(
I'm more or less in the same boat as you, and I'm of the perspective that I know I'm going to play this game (Nocturne + Portable = so good) so I might as well get it now with the eShop credit and the preorder extras. It might have to wait a while, but its time will come.Great OP!
I've been seriously vacillating whether or not to preorder this game. Actually, I keep preordering and cancelling my preorder. I honestly don't have time to play this game, and when I do have time to play, it's Animal Crossing, VLR, Luigi's Mansion DM, or Fire Emblem Awakening just to name my recent backlogs. I don't want to miss out on the goodies, since $50 is the MSRP with and without them.
I'm really hoping that Amazon makes it go on sale sometime in the near future (Luigi's Mansion is $30 right now).
Since I bought FE:A on eShop day 1, I'm hoping I am eligible for the $30. It would be a great incentive to bite right away. I'd use it for Pokemon Y digital.
Maybe I'll just buy it and only start playing it like by the end of the year?
There are few games special enough to get to this point for me, I should mention. SMT4 is going to be a hell of a ride.
I'm still not convinced of this.Edit : apparently it has to be eshop purchases though which i guess heals the wounds of not getting the physical copy extras
C'mon, Atlus. That's a rookie mistake.Easy is available after dying twice in the game. Hard is only available post-completion.
Well, just pure speculation since we really don't know any details on this promotion aside from that leaked eShop banner. Also, contrary to popular belief, the Canada eShop is not 100% the same with the US eShop. I've been noticing some slight differences on pricing for some games, but not really noticeable or a big issue. Why wouldn't you get the 30 dollar credit? SMT 3 was kinda a weird case, in that it was an updated re-release in Japan, and most of the intended audience would have already beaten the game on normal so.... :POriginally Posted by dual.soul
I hate it when games require me to first complete them on normal difficulty before "allowing" me to play through them once more on hard. I remember SMT III making hard mode available from the beginning.
I don't really mind too much. All reports say the game is hard as nails.
Going thorough Nocturne right now to prepare for this game, at the rate I'm going I might finish this just in time.
Saw that earlier in a thread, already have Awakening via eshop day 1(or was it day 2) so I'll see if I can register in to my account to get that bonus.THE HYPE IS TOO MUCHHHH
For those that missed it , if you register Fire Emblem Awakening and this game, you get 30 bucks for eshop!
Oh wow thanks for the heads up. Did not know that.Well, just pure speculation since we really don't know any details on this promotion aside from that leaked eShop banner. I won't spoil anything for y'all. Ill just say for me, it's a great game, and lived up to all the hype for me. While I suck at the difficulty of it, I'm getting through it well and just enjoying every moment. I just love everything about the game game, especially the characters.Originally Posted by SteeloDMZ

I've never played a mainline SMT game, and I only became an Atlus fan last year when I played P3P and P4G. I didn't like EO4 at all, but there's just something about this SMTIV that tells me to buy it. I mean, for Atlus to release it here only 2 months after Japan signifies something.Originally Posted by hardcastlemccormick

I'll probably preorder again soon, in case the promo is announced later and Amazon becomes OOS.
Gotta find a way to balance it between a bunch of other stuff but this will be my first actual SMT experience!
I've only played Demikids, Persona 3, and a bit of Soul hackers previously.
Buy it on day one so you can comment with all of us!I've never played a mainline SMT game, and I only became an Atlus fan last year when I played P3P and P4G. Very excited for this. I was a little put off by the initial $50 announcement but all the physical extras and that newegg discount a few months ago got me back on board.
Seriously, fuck her sideways with a rusty knife.Originally Posted by SteeloDMZ

I had NO problems getting through SJ until her final form, just.. ugh. I hated having to cheese out and get some demons off the internet, but that shit burned me good.
Hopefully, she's just a side boss this time.
I was in your boat until I played Nocturne, now I love all of them. Honestly if you liked P3 and P4 then you'll love a mainline game. It's like talking all the straight-up battle mechanics of Persona and blasting them to an amazing degree of customization and experimentation, without losing accessibility. The game's difficulty is more about using your head and being ahead of the game.I've never played a mainline SMT game, and I only became an Atlus fan last year when I played P3P and P4G. What didn't you like about EO4?
EDIT: The book is a little smaller than I thought it would be, and same for the soundtrack track list (past CD releases have had much more if i'm not mistaken, looking at Nocturne, had like 33), but I cant wait for the limited edition.
I'm alot more open to using hint books than I used to be.
