I don't like the idea of my character being some powerful warrior/mage/whatever but they can't even ride their own mount properly because they're a woman.

I read this as one of the bullet points from the presser.

No item transfer between same account and same server available.

Does this mean if you have two characters you can't give items to one another? I mean If you have a mog house don't all your characters have access and can't you store items in your mog house or have a shared bank with other characters?

Maybe is not that they "can't", but more like they choose not to ride in the normal way because Elezens are of a better breed. (My character is Elezen btw)

That would only be the case if they rode all of the mounts that way, but they don't. I think they were trying to go for more of a style/elegant look, rather then make women look like they can't ride the mount properly.

Either way, I agree after awhile it would probably get annoying to look at, but yeah.

That's right, they are doing it to make things harder for RMTs, even if that hinder players somehow, but they will look what they can do about this.

To be honest with 2 retainers, and with the Armoury Chest, we won't need mules in the mean time, maybe later on.

I'll be in northern Georgia rafting that weekend. No phase 4 for me. :'-(

but looking at the length of those they got planned, I'm not missing out much
really thought we'd get full week for p4 or early access

2) I can pay month by month and still get the 60/90/120 days reward ya? Not required to subscribe in bulk?

No idea about the house, they might have said something but I missed it.

Anyway, retainers are NPCs that work as item storage and that also sell stuff for you in the markets (AH), with 2 of them you have plenty of space, forgot how much space they have tho, but it is plenty.

The Armoury Chest is just for your character, but all the equipment can go in there and won't take space from your 100 inventory slots. I believe you can have up to 25 items of each slot (head, body, rings, feet, etc).

You pay the subscription up front and get the reward for the days you paid for. IE pay for one month and get the 30 day rewards day one or pay for 90 days up front and get all three sets that day. You don't have to subscribe in bulk just have payed for the number of days.

Only Crystal Tower. The rest of Primal Battles, Bahamut Laberynth and all the rest of the high end content is still there, should be more than enough.

It's just the installer. It has an error at the login screen.

Are they going to be using 1.x end game content?

Not really, 3 primals, 3 lv50 dungeons, 2 high-level FATEs and the Labyrinth of Bahamut will be there at launch. The only thing missing is the Crystal Tower, that must have been very bugged for them to push it back since in the gear progression it was supposed to go before the LoB.
