Cartman Infiltrates the NSA on the 17th Season Premiere of "South Park"

NEW YORK, September 23, 2013 – Cartman wants to hold the government accountable for secretly monitoring all of his personal information in an all-new episode of “South Park” titled, “Let Go, Let Gov,” premiering Wednesday, September 25 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on COMEDY CENTRAL. When Cartman manages to get himself behind the doors of the NSA, he doesn’t like what he finds in his personal file. He thinks it’s time he told everyone the truth. Meanwhile, Butters finds someone new to listen to his prayers.

seasons have ranged from 13 to 18 episodes. the last 9 seasons have been 14 episodes. season 17 is the shortest season but is the first season to do 10 straight episodes without a break in between.

10 seasons? bit of a stretch. even then, i'm not sure how you can compare its "awfulness" to the simpsons. even the bad SP episodes aren't that bad.

Spent the past two years catching up with the entire series and had a blast. Cannot wait for my first new season!

And funny, I never felt the series degraded in quality at all. "Faith Hilling" was easily my favorite from last time.

Edit: By the way, how long do the new episodes take to get uploaded onto South Park Studios? I don't have access to cable at college, so I'm depending on that.

by the next morning but it get taken down after the next episode aired and then put back up again once the seasons (or once it has a break) is over

Well, unlike the Simpsons I can still dig one or two eps a season. However I think the downfall began at 12 or so, when all of a sudden you got your Twilight episode. Now your High School Musical episode. Now your Britney Spears episode...
And fullfledged original stories were scaled back ridiculously.

It's insane that the episodes 200 and 201(as well as Super Best Friends I guess) are still being withheld by CC. Really thought the network would ease up on the episodes once shit blew over.

Yeah but if you substitute Britney for Lady Gaga you end up with The Simpsons.

And South Park has been skewing celebs and referencing real world events since the beginning of the show. Remember that episode that referred to that Cuban kid in Florida? That aired in the fourth season, and it aired within days of the event happening.

Was that the one with all the forces memes? If so, that was easily the worst episode in a long time and embodies everything wrong with some of the newer episodes.
