Love the OP pic, it's a very accurate depiction of what the current situation is on GAF.

GT6 will outsell them both combined by millions. lol

Thanks for this. The thread shitting in Driveclub threads was making it hard for me to keep my inner warrior under control.

Hopefully this all being in one easily avoidable place will spare me a banning :)

Played GT6, Driveclub and Forza 5 at the EuroGamer Expo. Gotta' say, I prefer Driveclub's mechanics, but I was a PGR super fan, so that explains that one.

Forza didn't look very good once you looked past the car you were driving... in fact it looked ugly. Also they seemed to have put way more effort into the model for the McClaren than other vehicles, even the five that were in the demo.

I really hope Sony doesn't expect anyone to buy the retail copy of DRIVECLUB when literally every single person who buys a PS4 will have at least 14 days of access to a free copy of DRIVECLUB.

Thank you for creating this thread fellow GAFfer.

While this thread is simply not for me, I hope this means that the other threads can be more focused in the proper discussions. I just hope that everyone in here can have a chance to enjoy all these games, no matter what platform they choose from.

Forza 5, like I mentioned many times is a game I would love to be able to play on Day one with the amazing Forza-Gaf Community but that, however, is not a possibility (Not in a Tier 1 country and lack of funds). Ether way I hope it can be a great game for those who will be lucky to playing. As for Gran Turismo I will have to wait some decent years to play it on the PS4 and I'm curious to try Drive Club. Have fun in here good people, and always respect each other.

Im a bit worried about NFS. Not only has EA barely showed it, but the one Video I have seen showed significant framerate drops. At 60FPS it is bad but not the worst. At 30, its abig issue.

Not really.

Theorethically, yes. But complete uncertanity (is this even the proper wording? I like how dramatical it sounds, like Agent Smith or something..) of compatibility of damn expensive peripherals many of us invested during this generation with both nextgen platforms is killing the party.

We are almost certain MS dropped the support and if Sony decides the same... It will not be a good moment.

We will have everything working for us: amazing IQ, amazing physics, amazing sounds, surround systems, huge screens, 3D, headtracking, multimonitors, online and community...

..and my CSRE, CSW, CSP, CSPV2 and G25 will cry tears of uselessness, with exception for GT6 on PS3 for few more years.

Let us hope Kazunori Yamauchi will be the force to give our investments the future we all dreamt when investing into certainity that became an vertigo nightmare we were only being able to watch in its current inevitable unstopableness.

Need my next-gen Nordschleife.

Seems like the devs (at least T10 and Polyphony) are a lot more secretive this time. Not enough information to make the right decision.

Not confirmed, but they are a licensed developer for both PS4 and XB1 and they're are actively developing it for both PS4 and WiiU and I believe the game at least partially compiles on both platforms already, but unlike the WiiU version it isn't "locked".

Kunos Simulazion is a very, very small studio that has still a long way to go for the initial pc release and have no experience in console development. They've already got their hands full getting the game released and after that they have a long list of features and cars they want to implement, but we may or may not see AC on PS4 in the future.

EDIT: and technically they're DRIVECLUB and Project CARS

Played both Next-Genners yesterday at Eurogamer, and got to see GT6 running. Thoughts:

Forza looks *GORGEOUS*. No 2 ways about it. Plays well enough, handles great and it's a very very good racer indeed.

Driveclub looked good. The build that was there yesterday was the one from Gamescom, and it's apparently come a long way from there. The handling felt a bit too twitchy at times, and at other times it felt a bit too far the other way. It was a nice experience though, and the social stuff is certainly an interesting twist on things. I can see the constant pushing to better your friends' times and drift distances etc being a really cool hook.

GT6? Well, I'm amazed they're getting this performance out of the PS3. I think it sits somewhere between that build of Driveclub and Forza. Footage from the later builds of Driveclub puts it above where I'd say GT6 was.

GT6 looked a lot less 'busy' than Driveclub though, and Driveclub definitely had the edge in terms of "stuff going on" on screen, but Forza really did look like it's on another level. Seriously impressed with it, and it's the best looking thing on Xbox One.

GT6 gets my vote.

Drive Club and Forza 5 both look to have great graphics, but considering they are launch titles, i'm sure they will be feature "lite". I just can't imagine they will stack up to GT6... perhaps I'm wrong... but i doubt it. Too bad there is still no sign of the E30 & E36 M3 in Gran Turismo.

thats not good - I had that on standby as a backup racer in case driveclub didn't turn out well. At least the US gets the PS4 two weeks before us in Europe, so we have time to hear impressions - when is NFS out?

I'm thinking GT6 for dry sim and photo mode, Driveclub to be hopefully as close to PGR as we'll get, and NFS for crazy flashing lights and rainy roads and a Chase HQ feel.

Ehh, non-gameplay cinematics prove nothing. I've seen GT6 gameplay, it looks nothing close to other next-gen racers.

Nah it was the usual stuff that racing games fall down on - demo didn't have AI from what I remember. Lifeless clinical scenery, with nothing going on that makes you think "hey I'm racing somewhere pretty cool". That's what I always liked about PGR, the detail and feeling you get from driving through a city.

It's the car models and backgrounds that really count, because everything else is moving to fast to see anyway.

Whats the word for bullshots in video form? Because yeah, THAT.

GT6 will be impressive, no doubt, but those gifs certainly aren't representative of gameplay. Isn't that trailer showing footage in quality you can't even get from theater mode?

But yeah, content and features, definitely. Hell, the course creator alone should put GT6 firmly in god tier.

It's a really tough end of gen decision really. I typically don't like more than one racing game. I loathed GT5 but was really impressed with GT6 demo. I am leaning more towards Driveclub because it reminds me of PGR and PGR2 which are golden games for me.

Never played Forza despite owning a 360 for some years. Probably just never got round to it. I'm not getting an X1 so it's not even in the thinking for me. NFS and the Crew don't even enter the equation.

Driveclub - 1280x1080 1920x1080, 30fps, real time lighting and GI
Forza 5 - 1280x1080 1920x1080, 60fps, pre baked lighting
Gt6 - 1440x1080, 60fps, real time lighting, no GI

I'm not sure what AA is being used in see these games though. Forza 5 looks the cleanest from the offscreen vids.

You should try Forza 4; in an alternate universe where Gran Turismo doesn't exist Forza is the best racing series on consoles.

I wish I could get into Simulation games more, I just find them so boring, racing especially. If I had a wheel set-up that would probably be different I suppose, but eh. It's especially bad when they keep showing the cars in 3rd person, it looks soooooo sterile.
