And I think Abaddon just talks big. She says how everyone will bow to her including the angels but she gets the fuck outta there at the sight of Ezekiel
They definitely want people to believe that it's Lucifer, they didn't refer to him in this episode for nothing. Fans were already speculating and they are smart enough to play into that. Not saying Zeke isn't Zeke or he won't do something that goes against the brothers for Heaven but I for one don't believe he's the big red cheese.
Enjoyed the episode, it feels like they got direction and they know where they are going with the show. That makes me happy.
As for Abaddon, chances are she hasn't danced with any angels yet. Remember before they were common, demons feared the angels, she might have some of that fear where she hasn't dealt with them yet. Give her time and it will be Tuesday to her.
Plus the whole Crowley & Kevin stuff finally happened, they needed to take care of that a bit. And the brothers calling in to Kevin back at the bunker for intel and help, I'm sensing a real "Return of the Men of Letters" feel going on here. There is so much more to the bunker that I'm sure they are going to explore this year.
I'm seriously excited for where this season is headed.
Also it never ceases to amaze me how Dean keeps up with pop culture.
I'm pretty excited! :)We're filming our mid-season cliffhanger episode right now. And, I gotta admit, it's AWESOME!!
I'm really looking forward to the next episode about Human Cas. I have a feeling it's going to be fantastic.
A few things I'd like to see happen in season nine that could personally help my interest in the show (some minor spoilers):
1. On of the highlights of season eight was the Men of Letters introduction. Really enjoyed that story and the discovery of the bunker. Really wish they would dive in and expand on the Men of Letters mythology more though. They only slightly touched on it in season eight.
2. Crowley has been the big bad for quite some time and I have grown kind of tired of this. Love the character and love the humor he brings to the table but I would like them to take the character into a new direction. He's currently locked up in the Men of Letters bunker. I hope the writers don't get lazy and just have him escape and once again retain his role as the king of Hell. Instead and some may disagree. I think IF WRITTEN PROPERLY they could have the boys help reform Crowley into a functioning member of the team. Perhaps have them find or make a Demonic Bracelet or something that keeps Crowley at bay and they take them with on missions as requested by Crowley and eventually the brothers work on reforming him into a hunter. I think it could work but would take some time and is something that should not be rushed. Keep Crowley as a jackass and not change his entire character but have him start to show a human side now that he's been introduced to Sam's apparently righteous (no-longer infected with demon blood), blood. lol I could go on an explain how they could write the reforming of his character but I won't.
3. Finally I would like to see them form a sort of Justice League of hunters. Obviously I'm more or less talking about a larger group using the Men of Letters bunker as their base of opporation. Could consist of: Sam, Dean, Castiel, Kevin, Garth, Charlie and Crowley. This would be awesome. Crowley would certainly bring his charm to the table, always insulting the boys and what not.
There is a lot they could do to make Supernatural feel less boring and safe. I also don't like to apparently obvious Ezikel or however you spell it, is evil and working with Metatron ark they got going on or so it seems so far. To predictable to the point where I sighed during the episode.
So what do you guys think? Like my ideas? Dislike them, what would you guys like to see?
Ally of convenience, nothing more. If you don't remember she was responsible for Ellen and Jo sacrificing themselves so the boys could try and kill Lucifer. That act alone would put her on the "gank when usefulness ceases" list.I'm also disappointed that they killed Meg off in a rather quick disappointing scene with no plan to bring her back according to Jeremy Carver. I always wanted to see the brothers work with her more, part of the team more.
Exactly. Which is why I find it odd that so many people are sad she's dead. She's had it coming for a long ass time.Originally Posted by Remmy2112

Ezekiel is working for Metatron to amass a large army of angels. However eventually Ezekiel kills Metatron and eventually becomes the leader of the angel army himself and also the big bad for this season. Possibly wanting to take over Earth and Hell (and heck maybe even Purgatory because why not?). Crowley doesn't want this and eventually agrees to works with Sam and Dean to stop Ezekiel and the army he's building.
So what do you guys think? Am I on to something here or will I be totally wrong? To me it seems like this will be another predictable season but I am actually hoping to be wrong.
She had hilarious chemistry with Castiel.Exactly. Which is why I find it odd that so many people are sad she's dead. She's had it coming for a long ass time.
Honestly, feels too predictable. So I think I know what the season nine major plot points will be. Just me speculating but highlight if you want to see:

Meg made a great Frenemy for the Winchester bros though. Always just useful enough to keep around, but never close enough to be an actual friend. I thought especially with her interactions with Cas that keeping her would have been a good idea.Exactly. Which is why I find it odd that so many people are sad she's dead. I suspect part of getting rid of her was not wanting to find a third (fourth?) actress for her though, after Rachel Miner's MS diagnosis. :(
OK, that's a good reason. I can understand it. :(Originally Posted by AbsolutBro

I am going to miss Meg, if only because she's another in a long line of characters on this show who never really got what they wanted before they died. The saddest part is she didn't really want all that much compared to everyone else.
Edit: she's dead meat now. The fan girls will not stand for a nice girl.
Oh a setup, that's less weird.
So what's Zek hiding, why would he not reveal who he is to Cas? What is he so afraid of from the other angels. Yeah, definitely a tip away something ain't right there.
While I enjoyed the Castiel segments the other parts especially with the angels were horribly written, it really felt like they were basically talking to the viewer to keep us updated and it was painful.
And did Cas get his heart broken or what.
Also angel blade....the ultimate protection.
They could know that we know and already accounted for it....
God damn it Lucifer. God damn it.
Could just be a feint and Zeke just doesn't want to be found, but his little "kick cas out or I leave Sam to die" just makes me think "Uh oh."
edit: Also perfect usage of that gif.
Could be cool but I'm not sure they could afford to do the end times on a Supernatural budget. Not for more then a single episode at least. I guess I could see why you believe in your theory though.Originally Posted by Thunder Monkey
Season ends in 2014. Sam is currently possessed by a fallen angel. A fallen angel that hasn't let another see him. Cas is human and just got his first taste of sex.
We coming up to orgies and end times!
To add to it, angels and demons are both amassing an army on Earth. So I don't know, maybe? Then again didn't the future Supernatural end times sequence start in 2012. I remember a news paper blowing in the wind listing Sarah Palin as president. Thought it said 2012 on it.
Dean and Sam made different decisions along the way though. By sending Lucy and Michael to the pit, they averted that initial timeline. It just seems like it's in a round-a-bout way coming back to that timeline.Could be cool but I'm not sure they could afford to do the end times on a Supernatural budget.
