As described in the original OT (under "Getting Started"), legacy characters are currently restricted to legacy worlds (servers). Even when the world transfer service becomes available, they will be unable to move to “new” servers for several months. New characters can be made on either new or legacy servers. The primary difference is that no character on new servers will be older than than the Phase 4 Beta. Measure the pros and cons of both, though minor and temporary, and make a decision for yourself.

Wow, #4 on the wall of shame.

My interest in this game just plummeted about three weeks ago. Hit 47 and couldn't be bothered to grind to 49 to progress the main story.

I'll try again once the PS4 version launches. Hopefully there'll be more content by then. As it is, level 40+ is barren for quest content.

Get into a FATE party in North Thanalan...the leveling goes by extremely fast, especially if you can do Dark Devices and no one is a jerk enough to end it early...like what happened earlier this morning...

Hey you Monks out there. Should I worry about any of the MRD skills for xclass? I read a guide and it recommends Fracture, Mercy Stroke, and Blood Bath but the only one I see being any sort of use is /maybe/ Mercy Stroke. I already have 2 DoTs in touch of death and demolish and those are hard enough to keep up in the rotation, I couldn't imagine trying a 3rd. And blood bath, as a mnk in a terrible tank anyway so what use it is, I have second wind if I take AoE damage.

Okay, so quick question. Are the developers planning any new events or content between now and the 2.1 update? In the short term I don't mind the lack of new content, since there's still a lot I need to accomplish, and I haven't seriously started leveling other classes.

Still, it'd be nice if there was a, "little," something, even if it was a couple additional End Game fates.

Well, I'd like to think that 2.1 would hit before Thanksgiving, preferably before Christmas and New Years too. XD

The links could probably use a big shake-up, but I'm not exactly dedicated to it right now. I recommend people posting the best links (after first making sure it isn't already there, since people asked to put links that were already there a lot in the last thread lol). Everything useful seems to run through reddit at least once, so that's probably the best place to look for inspiration.

I'll give it a bigger run down when i'm out of this dungeon. I have some more things I'd like to add to it. Most of the time I could have spent editing the thread I was responding in the last thread, then my dutyfinder finally got accepted and now I'm in a dungeon. Haha.

Not sure how I feel about this game yet, friend had a 30 day pass from original ffxiv game box and let me use it. I'm 25 pugilist, just got a choboco (let story quest get way behind because of dungeon queue's...). Story quests also do take forever, as cool as it is to have a story and cut scenes to enjoy, when it goes on for 30 mins with just clicking through dialogue, meh. Would be great with more voice acting (where you don't have to click through anything). I do like switching classes on the fly, but then I feel like I have no quests to do cause they've been done. So it looks like fate farming and hunting logs only to level those "alt" jobs. Any recommendations for what skills I should be borrowing from other classes as a pugilist? I have 2 open slots, not sure what I should try to level for good skills to use. Currently have a heal from arcanist, and 2 early tanking abilities from a glad.

What's causing all the delays? Originally we were looking at 2.1 in late October/early November. Did the server hiccups in the first two weeks really push them back that far?

I don't think 2.1 has been officially 'delayed' or anything, but considering the server issues & their original estimates for when transfers were coming I just don't expect anything to happen on time with FF14
