Note to mods: Feel free to lock/remove if you think this is in violation of TOS.

Recently I needed something for a personal project of mine - complete lists of games for older consoles sorted by the release date. Being a lazy bum, I tried searching for an already completed list. Alas, only ones I've been able to find were on Japanese pages, dealing with games released only in Japan.

After a few months of on and off work, I've been able to compile lists that include all games, no matter whether released in Japan, USA or Euroland for a bunch of older systems.

Given the amount of retro threads I see in this forum, I guess there have to be at least a few people here who would enjoy having such lists, so you can find links to them below.
They are standard XML datafiles, easily convertable to your format of choice using DatUtil.

Let me know if you find any errors, or can contribute any of the missing data - release dates especially for Europe are sketchy at best. Please note, before you start making a ruckus about some release dates being off, that all lists use the earliest one as base.

NES Release Order Game List
Famicom Disc System Release Order Game List
Super NES Release Order Game List
Game Boy Advance Release Order Game List

Sega SG-1000 Release Order Game List
Sega Master System Release Order Game List
Sega Mega Drive Release Order Game List
Sega 32x Release Order Game List

TurboGrafx-16 Release Order Game List

Also of note, release data for most handheld systems earlier than Game Boy Advance can be found here. Different format, has quite a bit more information, including developer/publisher info.

Tell me if I'm wrong, but it appears as if you added the game release dates to the No-Intro collection of video game titles / CRC hashes.

Go to here for the original collection:
http://datomatic.no-intro.org/

^ Note: this is not a piracy website...it's just a bunch of lists of released games in all regions and their corresponding CRC hashes.

Even if this is what happened, props to you OP for adding all of those release dates. I couldn't even imagine undertaking such a big project. Good job. :-)

Mark III & Master System
Mega Drive (1st party)
Mega Drive (3rd party)
Mega CD (1st party)
Mega CD (3rd party)
32X
Game Gear (1st party)
Game Gear (3rd party)
Saturn (1st party)
Saturn (3rd party)

Yeah, region dupes data and CRC is taken from GoodMerge/No-Intro datafiles. Release dates are mine.

//EDIT

Oh yeah, Game Gear, Game Boy (and Color), Virtual Boy, Neo Geo Pocket and WonderSwan datas are available here. A slightly different format, includes developer/publisher data. Might be of note as well.
