So hey, do you remember Brawl in the Family? It's that gaming web comic that's about Visual gags of Kirby eating stuff. If not, here's some of the more recent works:

The majority of the info is here, but for those that want a summary:

-Rhythm action/scoring game where you have to dodge the notes on a piece of sheet music, while also hitting targets along the way.
-Said to have a variety of music genres. First ones demonstrated are Chiptune, Russian circus and Western
-PC/Mac initial goal, WiiU stretch goal, Ios possible goal.
-Donation rewards range from game copies to character plushes to singing in the credits song.

Seems intriguing, to say the least.

The game itself is only $7? Seems like a good price for it. Would probably look great on the gamepad.

1/6th of the game has already been funded, so it's on it's way to completion, but not at the blinding speeds of, say for example, Mighty#9/Shantae.

And yes, you can guarantee your copy for $7, so it's at the very least cheaper then the kickstarters listed previously.

It's now halfway complete! I know there's some Bitf fans on GAF, so why not donate when you get the chance?

I love bitf but the game doesn't look fun to me.

Heard about this via Radio Free Nintendo, and glad to see there's a thread (even if it got buried). Game seems interesting and what I've heard of the music on the KS page sounds great. I'm a little hesitant because the last game to try this concept of a music game which isn't a rhythm game per se was Sound Shapes, and I really didn't like it at all. $7 to get a copy of the game is refreshingly low for KickStarters, and it's tempting to pledge for the Wii U version.

With only 4 days to go, the game needs $3,000 more dollars to be realized on PC/Mac. Will GAF be the project's saving grace? Will the author go back to making Waluigi comics? Did anyone listen to his Phoenix Wright musical project?

The answers to all these questions and more on the next Kickstarter: Kicking... Starter, I guess. This reference doesn't really work without a -mon suffix in the name.

Here's the link for the kickstarter:

Bonus points: Female protagonist.

Man, I'm conflicted on this one. I'm in for the cheapo $7 "maybe my kids would like it" tier. I doubt I'll get much play out of it myself but hopefully it'll pay off and he can jump into bigger things after this.

Ok, that made me laugh out loud.

Best of luck to this guy.

It's managed to hit it's goal of $30,000 with 50 odd hours left. There's talks of there being PayPal to continue the fundraising. The next stretch goal is for $34,000 for a Concerto Mode which is akin to a Boss Rush where you attempt to complete the entire soundtrack in one goal.

The Wii U goal is still $50,000 but they're in negotiations with Nintendo about the dev kit and such, so it may lower yet. I hope they'll be able to get it on there, some of their ideas for the Wii U seem a little interesting.

I certainly did. It's great. Though it goes by the name of Turnabout Musical nowadays.
