Awesome, thank you so incredibly much for the detailed response. I will be doing this on the 15th.Originally Posted by InvisibleStride
This is what I normally do when I get a game but don't download it just yet.
Go to the Sony web store and after logging in (top right) search for the game. The website is:
Store.Sonyentertainmentnetwork.com
Search for the game you want to download (Resogun isn't in the store yet, but it will be come the 15th) and "purchase" it for the price of $0.00.
The game will now be attached to your PSN account. When you get your PS4 you'll be able to go to the PSN store on the console and check your purchase history and be able to download it from there.
But... cubes are just cubes, right? They consist of twelve triangles. I view voxels simply as volumetric "pixels" that can't be broken down any further, and have only one location value in each dimension.Originally Posted by Goreomedy

As the guys explained in the video, everything in Resogun is constructed from gazillions (too many to count) of 3D bricks/cubes, known as voxels.
Voxels aren’t particularly new, but it’s difficult and time consuming to build intricate structures with them, so designing the game worlds of Resogun has been a really interesting challenge.
Here are some images showing some test buildings that we created.
Edit: On another thought (and after checking wikipedia), of course voxels have to be represented as cubes for projection. Just like pixels as squares. Disregard me.
everything exploding into voxels seems like one of those effect that will never not be amazing

Does PS4 support 3D gaming? Imagine seeing this in 3D...
Anybody knows the size of the game? Hopefully is not several GBs
0:55 and onwards should give a really good preview of the soundtrack.Originally Posted by twisteddeeds

Compression is horrendous, but this video is AWESOME. I need this game. I've probably played Defender (on my Amiga 600) more than most games in my life. There was a time where it's all me, my cousins and rest of my family would ever play. Can't wait for this. It feels like a next gen spiritual successor to the game.Originally Posted by Man-is-Obsolete

I googled, under 1GB....nice!
This is offset by the $0.00 that I'm paying for it.An impressively fluid tech showpiece, but nothing I've seen has got my pulse racing yet. In the quest for dazzling the screen with effects the art design seems to have been left behind. Even after watching a dozen of these videos I'm not sure I could recall more than a few enemies, or tell any of the levels apart . Hopefully none of this will matter once I get the controller in my hand.

4 days until Armageddon.

PUH-LEASE!
Let the Voxels get showered around my POV ; ;
My 3D 65" Panny deserves to be forplayed and reach climax with me at the same time!
