Watched Maximillian's KI Sabrewulf mirror vs Justin Wong and so far its the best match I've actually seen for this game. Lots of footsies and I really dug the intensity of it.
Man I really want this game to grow into something special because I see a lot of potential in the breaker/ko meter system of combo management. If it works out it'll be a cool new direction folks can look at for inspiration on system mechanics in the future. Hearing some downer stories out of a few circles, but Max's match made me question that talk.
As always my jury is out till this has had a few months to grow since folks are telling me breakers are still tricky and resets are the plan for many. Hoping to see more good stuff soon. Link me to any intense sets you know of.

As others have said, the KI Classic is a whole separate game that you need to install. It is not a game or mode you'd select in the KI XBox One introductory screen.
Also all characters (6 of them) should be available to select in any versus mode. All of their accessories still need to be unlocked/earned, but you'll see them as locked.
When you go to DLC content related to this game, it should take you to a screen that shows you already have downloaded the Ultra Edition I believe. If you search for the KI Classic game on the store, does it show up and what does it say?
Thanks for the responses guys. I checked around for the Killer Instinct classic as a separate game etc, still nothing. And I was able to download all the other versions but it still had no effect......butThis is a shot in the dark, but see if the game allows you to download the other editions on the KI store for free. If so, download them and see if everything unlocks and if you get the prompt to download KI classic.
I get home and boot up and MICROSOFT MAGIC happens and I get past the screen where it checks for downloads (the one everyone was stuck on) and I get KILLER INSTINCT CLASSIC AVAILABLE. Downloaded but haven't tried to play yet.
Then I go and check my characters and more MAGIC, they are unlocked!
I was actually getting worried that I was having issues since I have not yet subscribed to Gold and maybe that was screwing things up or they didn't do much testing when not subscribed.
It seems that them fixing their server issue of yesterday straightened out all my game issues...EXCEPT I still don't have my PINS or an email from MS they said they would send me to straighten them being missing out.
I thought at first maybe I they somehow fell out of the envelop or something but seeing as you go the exact oppisite of me (PINS but no GAME/BOOK) I'm guessing there have been a lot of screw ups with this.So I got my Pin Ultimate Edition in the mail today. It include FUCKING NOTHING. An envelope with a piece of blue cardboard that has two holes in it that says "Pinny Arcade Pin Trading" on it.
12 days late and you fucking send me this shit. God dammit.
The crappy thing is calling support doesn't get you anywhere, no one knows what your talking about and the Pin Edition is sold out so they won't/can't offer to send you another one.
If you get a hold of someone that can help, please let me which dept etc. Both Xbox and MS Store support have let me down so far.

I am so bad at this game online that I only record clips of me getting my ass kicked, if it's an epic ass kicking.
There was no box. It was a bubblewrap envelope that when i opened it up had nothing but a blue piece of cardboard.

How's everyone's online games been going? I've got a lot of lag since like Sunday or so.
OUCH! Someone suggested to me that maybe my pins were stolen. Maybe that's the case since they only left the place card. They took the game and pins.I didn't even get the pins. I got the placard they should be pinned to.
Support should be able to at the very least enable the game for you. They were able to look up and see I made the purchase when I called them.
Side note: I suck at combo breakers. Keep replaying the dojo lesson and can't figure out how to see what is coming at me when it mixes them up on you. I'm left to guessing most times, esp when it's punch and kick autos. I don't see myself being able to distinguish with just jago right now so learning every characters seems impossible

It kinda sucks though. Wind kick goes through flik flack, it goes through the slide, it beats the rekka (or it feels like it does, anyway) You can probably also punish the heavy windkick on block, I think.
I agree it beats all of Orchids specials but I haven't been able to figure out how to punish it on block. I even try something simple like like kick low or something and it feels like he has better priority for the next move so it's like a free wind kick if I don't jump over it which kind of sucks. Anyways, the game looks great. Love all of the particle effects and the hits feel meaty. I'm glad it's been well received too because I've been a fan of Double Helix Since SH Homecoming.
If anyone has any tips for Orchid I'm all ears. Glacius is a bitch to fight.

Ugh. Over an hour trying to do the first combo with manuals in dojo 19.
Just can't get the timing down for the manual consistently yet.
Maybe get a manual one out of every 10 times if just doing it by opener->manual practicing but maybe 1 of 20 when trying to do it off the linker in a combo and then if I do it I never hit the ender.
For these trials I wish there was a way to go back to the first parts of the lesson without having to restart. They put those nice timing indicators for the manual In the early part if the lesson but then don't in the later part. I know your supposed to learn but I feel it's a bit like a math teacher that shows you something one time and expects it to have instantly sunk in.

The controller? It's funny you say this though as I was just talking with someone telling them that sometimes when I play, it's like 1 out of every 5 moves does not go through, it's literally costing me matches in Rank. I did notice though this really only happens to me when I come in from outside and my hands are cold, It's very frustrating. I'm gonna start waiting like 30min before playing when I get home for now on to warm up and loosen up my fingers and thumbs a bit.
I'm gonna start saving for the Arcade stick anyway, with so many more Characters coming, and so much more content, the Arcade stick is gonna have to be bought sooner or later with the many years of replay value this game has ahead of it.

Side question do you know what challenges qualify for the Pins in game? I'm confused as to which ones and how this is going to work. I see tons of current and upcoming in game just don't see how that ties to the pins.
