I just got a call from GAME in slough telling me my phase 2 preorder came in already! But I picked up my phase 1 killzone bundle on Friday, so I don't need it. I told them I'll pick it up tomorrow so they hold it for me.
Any slough/London Gaffers interested? Not sure how we'd handle the logistics - probably I'd just buy it and then you buy it off me for cost.

I managed to order the Killzone bundle with Need for Speed, Fifa and Battlefield this morning from the Game website. I was refreshing the page constantly so I think I've earned this, but I still keep expecting the order to fall through after similar let downs over the last few days. Please dispatch it :'(

Also, this may be a silly question, but can you stand the console vertically without the stand? I won't be able to pick one up until after the console arrives and there's nowhere to sit it horizontally.

My advice is to put up a pre order on coolblue as they still guarantee for the second batch.

I've been left with not much choice thanks to shopto sending me the wrong item. I've no space to put it anywhere else, thanks to how massive the Xbox One is and the fact they put vents on the top meaning I can't just put it on top.You can, but you shouldn't. You'll block the vents.

It doesn't actually block the vents because the vents are in the little jut inwards, it just means there isn't quite as much space for air circulation. I doubt it would do damage in the short term really, but if you wanted to keep your console going for as long as possible you want the stand.

My PS4 is fine, but my partners keep adding a padlock to the games and saying the license is invalid. This is happening even with disc based games. The only solution so far is for her to switch off the console and reboot in the hope that it fixes it, which it does, but then later happens again. She has tried the 'verify license' option, and that worked fine, but it is still happening.
Any ideas Gaf?

I was very lucky in Holland. I opted not to pay 50 bucks in advance back in the summer and I would've been scrapped off the list. But then, friday right when I was about to drive home from work, I got an email that my system was there for me to pick up until the 5th of Dec. So I caved.

Anyone else's disc drive sound like a plane when you put in a ps3 disc? Its really really bad :O it doesn't happen all the time just seems to be intermittent. Haven't had much of a chance to test out the cause tho

Assuming that is a typo, I can quite clearly hear the disk drive when a game is installing, yes. Outside that it isn't really loud, no.

Digital upgrade titles mate needs a ps3 disc in the slot for verification
But yeah no one else? Haven't got another ps4 game to try other than killzone so unsure if it's just ps3 or not buy KZ is fine
My Tesco got another batch of PS4s on Saturday (a few less than launch shipment and they'd all sold out that same day. It's been very popular.

Just thought I'd share my impressions on some KSF multiplayer:
Ok, after a long and late night play session on my PS4, I managed to play a few hours of Killzone Shadowfall's multiplayer. First things first...IT'S FANTASTIC! Yeah the campaign might not suit everybody (I like it) but seriously, get on multiplayer, it's so good. It's really easy to jump into, smooth and the controller is amazing for it. I was pleasantly surprised overall.

After two days of heartbreak I think I finally have it! Game just emailed me to confirm shipment of my Killzone bundle. On a Sunday no less! It's Express delivery so could potentially arrive tomorrow if they're shipping on Sundays, but more likely Tuesday.

Well after selling my Xbox one for £700 few days ago I was gonna wait and let the teething issues get ironed out before buying a ps4, But yesterday I was on GAME and for £529 they were selling the ps4 with KZ/FIFA/NFS/B4.....so I bought it then as soon as I did and came up in orders it was sold out so im hoping to get it this week anyway!
Meanwhile in France, it is said that the specialised stores of République are selling PS4 for a price ranging from 800€ to... 1200€.

any news on the day 1 sales for EU yet?
If you order it from Amazon.it today you'll get one delivered December 16 and you don't have to pay it in full before that (plus you can return it plus amazing customer's support).Same in Italy. It's the reason I'll be waiting the day after that to make my ebay listing (or finally decide to keep the thing). But there's plenty of cities where the thing is readily available, even in Milan (Mediaworld Rubattino) there were plenty available the morning of launch (11AM there were at least 40) even if you hadn't one preordered.
Btw, Amazon shipping took less than a day with free shipping, got mine delivered on the 29th.
did you actually notice the sharp edges (corners) of the ps4? that thing could easily be diverted to a weapon or smht. I hope none starts a fight with these things.
