I plan to get Pikmin 3, W101, WindWaker and SM3DW

There is one disadvantage that irritates me but it depends on whether or not you own the first LostWinds game. It can't be transferred (though oddly the sequel can). Apparently Frontier were working on a fix for this but the last update I can find on this is from months ago so I presume they didn't. You can't buy LostWinds from the Wii store on Wii U either.Originally Posted by RobFox64tm

Buy now. Just make sure it has no scratches on the screen. I'd test it out to make sure it's not messed up.Originally Posted by Servbot24
I'm not sure if there is a Wii U OT so I'll just post in here. I can get this for $150, is that the best I'll probably do?

I have a ZombiU question - each time you die, do you always start from the original spot and have to work your way through to where you were with the next character? Are there shortcuts to get to where you were quicker?not to repeat myself but...buy zombi u.
Didn't think about this, and it's true, if only for some Wii owners. Of course not everyone has Gamecube games and controllers, and I'd wager most Wii owners don't.Originally Posted by stuminus3

You also can't use Gamecube controllers on Wii U, that's a disadvantage to anyone that might want to use one for Wii games that supported them (Smash Bros, Mario Kart Wii, etc). I didn't care about that one, never used my Wavebird for Wii games.
There are shortcuts. Except for resetting stats, you'll never lose hours of progress.I have a ZombiU question - each time you die, do you always start from the original spot and have to work your way through to where you were with the next character? I enjoyed the demo, but could see it getting frustrating restarting from the bunker every time and walking through a bunch of places you've already been.
Absolutely. That is a ridiculous deal assuming everything is in working order and the Gamepad isn't messed up. Hell, even if the Gamepad were messed up and you had to send it to Nintendo to repair/replace it, I'd still call that a pretty good deal.Originally Posted by Servbot24

Damn, I thought I gave the guy a good deal for Deluxe console, NSMBU/NSLU, bunch of VC games and eShop credit for $220. This is a great deal!Originally Posted by Servbot24

Provided that everything is in working condition, you would have to be insane to pass that deal up.Originally Posted by Servbot24

Wow! It definitely took me about an hour all told with the download and installation. Maybe 45 mins. Just hooked mine up last night (got the $264.99 deal from Buy.com) and have been impressed thus far. Very excited about Mario 3D World.Originally Posted by Draconian

It should go fine. It does help to have a second TV handy as you'll be jumping between systems, but it's not necessary.I do! I do! Ive got a few classics. (TTYD, Metal Gear, Killer7, Viewtiful Joe and Prime) and a Wavebird.
Just gonna use my original Wii as my makeshift Gamecube and Homebrew system for my PAL games like Disaster, Xeno and Last Story. No biggie.
Hopefully the transfer process goes smoothly.
Of course it's not matching... NSMBU is a much better game. Better level design, actual challenge... only thing not better is the music. So far NSMBU is not matching Super Mario World on SNES at all. Not even close.
Does NSMBU have unlockable levels in the world map? Genuine question.
It's like GAF, minus the trolling and wars. You can post messages, screenshots, drawings, etc. It was especially useful for me while playing ZombiU as I asked for help and tips. I really love it.What is Miiverse?
It sounds like something similar to Playstation Home. Or is it better/cooler than that?

Dude, it was me you sold that bundle to! I want at least $20 back now!Originally Posted by stfuppercut

I removed MH3U from my deal so I can frame it on my wall and never forget the amazing times I had on it. I will never forget you Monster Hunter franchise, I'll just try.
Yeah not a huge deal for most, I'm sure. Ironically, I now use my Wii U as a Wii, my Wii as a Gamecube, and my Gamecube as a Gameboy Advance. :DOriginally Posted by RobFox64tm

(Oddly enough, I figured you were a Gaffer, seeing as when I went to the internet browser, the tab opened up to NeoGaf.)
I have the same issue, only my screen goes red. I think it might have to do with the fact that I don't really have an HDMI port and I had to buy a DVI to HDMI adapter for it to work, but I don't really know, just guessing. If anyone knows how to fix this or what is causing it, please let me know.Originally Posted by EvilPengy

Whenever I launch the Wii Menu from the Wii U menu, my screen goes purple. I have to go into system settings on the Wii U and change the settings from 1080p to 480p whenever I want to play my Wii games.
Deus Ex is so good on this console. If you can stomach the added cost over the PS3 or 360 versions, the Gamepad implementation is some of the finest on the console I feel like. I really appreciate the elegant integration of the Pad with the game's UI elements, making the game just so much more playable than it was before.Well that's exciting then :) I have some work to do.
Splinter Cell Blacklist, Deus Ex HR: DC, and Sonic Racing Transformed are good too. Deus Ex in particular.
It's basically a message board/twitter system built in at the OS level. Every game and app on the system have their own "forum", and a number of games have Miiverse integrated directly into the game. For example in Wind Waker you can send messages and pictures which will appear randomly in other peoples games as messages in bottles. If you get a message you can then respond to it (basically like a thread on the forum), keep the photo (for the figurine collection), etc. What is Miiverse?
