I think they had to change the US stream of that part because of licensing issues for that song. Of course this doesn't affect this Vita release in Japan.

Yeah licensing stuff is usually a mess, which is why things like that there are times when those behind the localization just say fuck it and cut it out totally. Here in Japan the music companies are dicks for example and dont even like to cooperate with eachother on occasion. Lantis in particular.

I have never seen the anime, but people here say that there's almost no fanservice, so i think it's a really different game.
Good thing is they left all that in the OVA, which can be conveniently skipped.Despite the all girls cast, I believe the show doesn't have any fan service in it. At least, there aren't panty shots in this since the director himself assured even strictly told the animator to not do any that kind of thing. The tank battles are well directed, and fun to watch. Even someone I know that hate pandering stuff actually like GuP because how well the battles were directed.
As long as I get to play as based Nonna and the Pravda team this could be my GOTY next year.

Like I mentioned earlier, this was the first anime I ever watched (ignoring watching DBZ back in highschool) and I never felt like it was pandering. A little cutesy at times, but not bad. The entire soundtrack is amazing.
About the series itself, I was laughing my ass off at images from it, then I saw the opening sequence. I ended up watching it in a single sitting during the weekend. It was THAT good. It's also very short and the action moves along quickly.
That Killer Joke image is amazing. Also, I just realised the team Hippo logo shows the hippo butt front and center haha.
