http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2013/...no-extra-cost/Hi everyone. From today, we’re running a great promotion for PS Vita.
Buy a PS Vita system and link it to you Sony Entertainment Network account between now and 31st December 2013 and we’ll send you a voucher code for a whole month’s PlayStation Plus membership at no extra cost. That means access to an Instant Game Collection, exclusive PlayStation Store discounts, cloud storage and loads more for your PS Vita, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
Already a PlayStation Plus member? No problem. Buy a PS Vita and an additional month will be added to your current membership.
Half tempted to buy another one for a Christmas present.... Hmmmmm...
EDIT: If you're tempted, I'd jump on this ASAP as I think it's a mis-price. Been on the main shopto website and seen it jump from the £139.99 like the OP and it's up to £159.85 now.
This is a company that lost peoples credit card numbers, cancelled someones PS4 pre-order for complaining on twitter, and on a more personal note, closed my ShopTo account out of spite when I politely asked them to stop sending me unsolicited marketing e-mails.Pity ShopTo are still banned on here. Can't this be lifted now?

I've got the 3G model and never once used the 3G. I don't even keep the SIM card in the Vita. I've never bothered with it because I don't want extra data charges on top. Do you have a smartphone? When I last upgraded I got unlimited data including tethered devices. so I use my Vita paired with that when I'm out and about.Same, but the games really don't excite me. Id love to get the LBP and Tearaway bundle, but that's with the wifi model...
As I understand it, the 3G version has the GPS module build in. Is there any sat nav apps for it?
Couple of questions. I don't have a smartphone so (embarrassingly) I don't actually know what 3G is really. I'm guessing it means I can game anywhere instead of needing to find a Wifi spot? How does that work cost wise? Do you pay by the minute like you would a regular phone?
Is LBP the same as the PS3 version? Not sure which bundle appeals more to me right now as I already have a few other games queued up thanks to PS+.
And these are both OLED models right?
Thanks for any help.
3G is Mobile internet I think it's £5 for 250 mb of data.Originally Posted by Siegmeyer

LBP is its own version.
The non OLED models havn't released here yet.
For sake of a simpler explanation, 3G is a mobile network connection fast enough to carry data. What it means for the Vita is that you can connect to PSN anywhere, but that does not necessarily mean you can play multiplayer games over 3G (only on 4G is it somewhat viable, but no Vita model exists with that). You can either have a pay as you go SIM, or you could go with a monthly data plan (as far as I remember, you can use any network you like).Originally Posted by Siegmeyer

LBP Vita is its own game, but costumes (and levels?) are cross-buy from the PS3 version.
Non-OLED models haven't been released outside of Japan yet.
Edit: Beaten
They gave me a £10 voucher which I used to get a 2DS and 2x DS games for £89.99.
I know I got a good deal but Tearaway and a 16gb card... D:
This is a good deal and I bought it.
- Dr.C
I will continue to bide my time, then.
dude... vita 3G.1) Gran Turismo (PSP game)
2) Wipeout Pulse (PSP game)
3) Modnation Racers (PSP game)
4) Everybody's Golf (PSP game)
5) Motorstorm RC (PSN title)
6) Top Darts (PSN title)
7) Tabletop Tanks (PSN title)
8) Table Golf (PSN title)
The deal sounds better than it is. I would go for the LittleBigPlanet + Tearaway pack.
16gb.
It is an awesome deal.
You're not alone, and it's why I just ordered the 3G deal from Asda. I don't need to have Tearaway right away and I'm mainly getting it for the remote play with PS4 anyway.Yeh I kinda guessed it would become a redundant feature. I'm not even out and about for enough time to use it properly anyway, just want one for remote play really. But then as always there's a gremlin in the back of my mind telling me I need the most feature complete model of everything.
So, how does the downloading of games work? I can dl them to my PS3 and then you just connect the Vita to the PS3 and move them across right? Can you dl straight to the Vita if you ever need to?
Yes you can download via the PS3 and connect the Vita and transfer over. You cannot download games over 3G on the Vita, but you can via WiFi. Also you can connect wirelessly to both the PS3 and a PC to backup your games so that if you fancy swapping on out you don't have to download the whole thing again.Originally Posted by Siegmeyer

I guess it also means I need to start looking for a copy of Persona 4 Golden. Seems like that is the must have game that can't be got anywhere else.
it's diffrent LBP game but i think it shares some DLC with LBP2 from PS3.Originally Posted by Siegmeyer

And at the moment all models sold in Europe are OLED.
It's £30 second hand at CEX because it's a little hard to find, or £34.99 on SEN.Originally Posted by Siegmeyer
Thanks for all the answers guys, much appreciated. Looks like I've got some downloading to do this evening.

I'm going to try my luck and see if it hits PS+. I've still got the PS2 version to play through if it doesn't.
EDIT: £25.98 at Amazon

Still going with a 3DS instead, but this definitely had me pause and re-evaluate that for a minute. :p
I agree with this. Some great games there, but in terms of value I think the LBP/Tearaway package is better. MotorStorm RC and Top Darts are both neat little games, but are bite-sized PSN games which regularly show up in sales, Tabletop Tanks & Golf are both like £2 mini AR games on PSN, Wipeout and Everybody's Golf were superceded by Vita-specific releases (ModNation too, but I believe the Vita game was a bit pants), and then there's GT, which is probably still very good if you enjoy realistic racers.1) Gran Turismo (PSP game)

Not only that, but Motorstorm RC is a free game on PS+ this month and you get a free month with the Vita right now.Originally Posted by Triggerhappytel

I'd like to know this. Also, I believe when you delete a game, the save file gets deleted too. Is that right? Can I keep my save in the cloud with PS+ when I delete a game?Originally Posted by cyberheater
Okay. I'll ask a different question. What do you do when your Vita's memory card is full. Can you transfer games from your Vita to your PC or PS3?
Yes and yes.I'd like to know this. Also, I believe when you delete a game, the save file gets deleted too. Is that right? Can I keep my save in the cloud with PS+ when I delete a game?
I think you can back up saves to pc and ps3 but I've not tried those.
Also, PSP games do not have the cloud saving option.
...and a month of PS+.I got the Argos 8gb, KZ, VT:4 deal not so long ago.
I know I got a good deal but Tearaway and a 16gb card... D:
I always seem to miss these offers by buying a few weeks early, however as you say it was still a good deal so I'm not that bothered.
Plus as I'm not really a fan of FPSs I would have been unlikely to buy Killzone for quite some time (if at all) but I've really enjoyed it.
Yes, the save file is part of the game file, so it gets deleted when you delete the game install. You can upload saves to the cloud a la PS+, but you have to change the Vita settings to ensure saves are being uploaded. I learnt this the hard way when I deleted Gravity Rush and Guacamelee!, inadvertently deleting the save data and spoiling any chance I had of Platinuming either game.I'd like to know this. I don't know if you can save installed files from the Vita back to the PS3, but I don't think so?
I'm the same way, doubt I would have jumped on that KZ deal if I saw it as an 8gb card would not have been sufficient, so I'd have to pay more out for at least the 16....and a month of PS+.

Do love some Virtua Tennis though and just bought a second hand version on Amazon for £6.
Another way to alleviate this is moving the game to a PC.Originally Posted by Triggerhappytel

Right, i've just been doing manual uploads before deletion, seems to work ok.Since a recent firmware they've made it much easier to set auto-uploads for a game (+ icon on the game start page), so that's less of an issue now. It's still a manual process though, hopefully they'll automate it soon so it's like the PS3.
Maybe next month, this month is too expensive with everything I am buying.
EDIT: Looks like it is.
