You don't need to plan anything you can just allocate stats whenever you want in whatever category. Basically the Paragon points are just their to fill holes in your character until you reach some absurd paragon 800 pevel at which point everything except core stats will be maxed under Paragon points.Originally Posted by Yoshichan

So I take it, spending points on anything other than Core Stats would be the most efficient. Trying to plan this shit out!
Er, if you want to hear Jennifer Hale that badly, you should probably just get the original Diablo III. She plays Leah, not the crusader.Oh shit. That's it, now I have to buy this.
My internet machine is telling me that the crusader is voiced by Silent Hill's Mary Elizabeth McGlynn.
I THOUGHT she sounded like The Major. <3Er, if you want to hear Jennifer Hale that badly, you should probably just get the original Diablo III. She plays Leah, not the crusader.

Arent You playing low speced machine anyway? :pI already fixed it on my lowrange pc with a fucking flashdrive, so it is okay.

Can You record a run and upload it to youtube? Or stream via OBS into twitch, whatever :)Yeah I fixed it with SSD. Feels like a different game.
You shouldn't need a flash drive just for a game to work properly. I mean I guess it's not the biggest deal in the world since the fix is only <$20 but the current gen console versions don't even have the problem so it's kinda silly that the PC version does.I already fixed it on my lowrange pc with a fucking flashdrive, so it is okay.
I think he probably used this fix.Originally Posted by GhostRidah

Well, I found that I kinda need this for most games I play. I need to play Path of Exile from a flashdrive otherwise the initial and subsequent loading times are killer, (2-3 sec vs 8-10 sec per teleport/waypoint, 10-12sec vs 1-2 min on startup). And so I accept the same for D3.You shouldn't need a flash drive just for a game to work properly. It would be nice to not need it, but we do.
ThanksI think he probably used this fix.

I played d3 before I got my ssd, so maybe I won't need to do that fix but its good to know anyway.
I mean I get that we're transitioning to self-found mostly, but with ALL the best items being BoA, trading at all seems like it will be mostly dead, even with more economic inertia after the AH removal.
I suppose these things can be tweaked in the future - rares might get buffed.
Wait, so I better run low paragon to get much more level faster than get higher level ?One point per level, yes. Paragon is split up into 4 categories, Core Stats, Attack, Defense, and Ductility. All of them have 4 different things you can put points into. In Attack, Defense, and Offense, each of the 4 things has a cap of 50, while Core Stats have no cap.
Also pLvl isn't capped anymore either, and is account wide.
The way I've understood it is that they're going to pool all your accumulated levels so far, so yes, if you have multiple max level characters, you could pool more levels faster by using them all.Originally Posted by UnluckyKate

the correct thing to do would be take accumulated experience and pool it together to determine progress in the new system. The way I've understood it is that they're going to pool all your accumulated levels so far, so yes, if you have multiple max level characters, you could pool more levels faster by using them all.
I copied my account over to the PTR (can do that in-game). It took the highest gained paragon level I had, and applies it on all my characters, alts and mains alike. The way I've understood it is that they're going to pool all your accumulated levels so far, so yes, if you have multiple max level characters, you could pool more levels faster by using them all.
My 20 minutes initial impressions on the expansion/new features:
THIS IS WHAT D3 SHOULD'VE BEEN FROM THE START
Loot loot loot, awesome loot that's mostly tailored to your class. Good.
Also over 1000 hours played and no invite Blizzard pls
Oh? I stand corrected then.Originally Posted by Tunesmith

Picking up gold grants Exp?
WHY DOES THIS LOOK SO GOOD
I COULD BARELY SLEEP LAST NIGHT I'M TURNING INTO YOSHI NOOO
They addressed infernos difficulty curve and made it very do-able. I have to say though, I had no problem with the difficulty curve. The game got truly hard after you ran through it 4 times. Yes, it was maybe slightly too difficult but it was a real challegen and thats not something you often get these days in games.Watching a stream, it looks fun I must admit, but I'm still sore from the launch experience. So can someone tell me if the game is doable to play up to the highest difficulty with self found items? I really didn't like how inferno was a gear check and you couldn't do anything unless you farmed like crazy or traded for gear. These things fixed? That new class sure looks fun.
I think it's the next logical step in them acknowledging the existence of dataminers that's been going on since around 2009. There was a lot of leaks starting two and a half months ago; trying to contain it at this point isn't worthwhile.Doesn't really matter in the mid/long-term since you probably won't be playing your softcore character once ladder hits. Also I think the gains from Paragon levels are going to be relatively insignificant. On another note, I can't believe Blizzard is actually allowing players to stream out the entire Act V campaign, you'd think they'd care more about spoilers.
Also, it's far more entertaining than watching endless Skeleton King runs.
They didn't simply make everyone the highest. There are people who copied their characters over, and they were at pLvl 158 for example.Originally Posted by Tunesmith

They way they said they were doing in the past was a total accumulation of all your characters gained paragon experience. They have may have changed their minds, but as far as anyone knows that's still the way. It also scales a bit different, which is why you may be seeing the numbers you have. (I've seen people mentioning that 10 Paragon 100's now = Paragon 376 in RoS.)
I want WoD beta.
Who knows, I'm just going on what happened to me. All my characters in the beta are now Paragon 23 which is what my DH is in reality, and I have alts with Paragon 2-3 and so on.They didn't simply make everyone the highest. If it's meant to combined, then that's great and I'm chalking my misalignment up to beta glitchiness.

So it didn't total up all of your characters, but instead only used the highest paragon level as your new account paragon level? If so, then I'll start only focusing on one character to level up until RoS.
All of the beta info sounds great. I have a few questions for the lucky ones in here who got into the beta already:
1. Did the gem prices at the jeweler get decreased at all, or are they the same?
2. How are the multiplayer interface changes? Anyone join a clan yet or try out the new chat options?
3. Are the adventure mode and bounties as awesome as they sound in theory?
4. Are there still the four difficulty levels (Normal, Nightmare, Hell, and Inferno) or did they wittle it down to just three levels now?
It could be an anomaly, I'll check with some people on the inside on what the dealio is.So it didn't total up all of your characters, but instead only used the highest paragon level as your new account paragon level? If so, then I'll start only focusing on one character to level up until RoS.

Aka popular streamers and family. I mean the hype strategy worked for Hearthstone.
