It's just him that lags. I've watched two other streamers today for the expansion and they were fine at source.
twitch how are you still so unusable
I had half an hour to play this. Picked WD, my first observations:
- The Act V stuff (detail, graphics, MUSIC) is insanely good. It oozes atmosphere. Also darker than anything I have seen so far, both in D3 and in POE (its blood chambers have nothing on this).
- NEW AFFIXES! What I saw:
- "Increased Dog damage"
- "Increaased Gargantuan damage"
- "Chance to melee splash"
- "X % increased chance to Crushing Blow"
+ Resource/cost/cooldown affixes.
They are ALL great and they all make one think: "hm, I shall build around this".
Removal of life steal is tough. I was able to easily handle mp6-7 in original, here, I stepped down to the second below torment, cause it was a bit too rough for me.
- High quality gems drop, yaaay - but 5,000,000 removal cost, haha :D
- Gambling is imba and fun
- You can buy stuff from vendor and salvage it, even rares. It makes sense now :P
Piranha is great, btw. Tonight I will try the frozen orb+black hole wizard as well.
Yeah, seems really random. Some of the larger current streamers didn't appear to get an invite, however a lot of the older streamers got in. Wish I'd gotten to try it out, but not going to lose sleep over it like some others on the bnet forums.Originally Posted by Raticus79
From other reports, I think the requirements for random invitations were really low - like anyone with over 100 hours played and logged in at all in the last month got in the draw. Anyone who wasn't friends/family/press/streamer has pretty low odds.
Why did my friend leave blizzard? Q_Q
dat feel when having to go through act I-IV before being able to start V ;_;
PC D3 is superior to the Console version in every possible way except for the loot1,5 version the consoles have.Originally Posted by Yoshichan

I'll get my invite, soon enough...
While you get great loot fast, it failed to hold my interest the way the PC version still does today.
At the end of the day, gameplay is king and the auto targeting, the low mob density and the serious lack of challenge made me stop playing the 360 version once I got 975/1000 achievements

Superior controls, better loot, no stupid AH, offline mode, better economy, couch local coop and cooler camera angles at certain moments in the game.
PC D3 was decent at best.
PS3 D3 has been a better overall experience for me and many other GAFers.
Reaper of Souls is very reminiscent in how the loot systems work in the console version.Originally Posted by Yoshichan

They've very clearly learned along the way and this will probably be the better version in the end once it's out on all platforms.
Offline is meaningless, couch coop is great, loot is fine but will be inferior to the pre expension patch and makes you Max out your character too fast (I'm not expecting such maxing out on the PC front, it's a grinding game, something console players typically hate).
D3 console was fine till 60, then it became a bore because many builds that work great on PC thanks to the mob density are just no longer viable.
The PS4 won't solve those issues because the mob density will still be low.
As for the AH, overblown problem. Playing selffound may have been hard on release but has been totally fine and viable for almost 8 months now.
Edit : also there's just no economy and next to no trading on the console versions, and online is a trainwreck thanks to hacked characters.
I really don't understand why Blizzard just had to go and mess with their tried and true formula.First of all, I am in! :)

It feels still too late to little to me. Unless they somehow redo all the previous acts... Even still the story is royally fucked with the most atrocious writing of this generation.
That's why they made Adventure mode so you can ignore all the story crap.I really don't understand why Blizzard just had to go and mess with their tried and true formula.

Also outside of the offline/couch coop PC RoS is basically a superior form of the console version. It has pretty much all of the pluses without the drawbacks.
You only get free Legendaries in campaign when you are leveling 1-70. After that when the real end game starts no one will be doing campaign mode. You only get free legendaries in story mode bro
Thinking about leveling in Adventure mode then doing Campaign for free max-level legendaries (the game scales to your level, even in campaign mode)
Nope, can use 2Hs, plus 2H + Shield if you use the passive for it.I think the crusader can only use a 1-hander and a shield?
Eh? What are you talking about? I'm talking about going back into Campaign after leveling purely through Adventure Mode for legendaries that are at max level. You only get free Legendaries in campaign when you are leveling 1-70. Sadly I don't think I will ever pick up RoS. My friends are sick of Diablo, I feel it too. I think it's just dead for me. But we'll see...

You can't play max difficulty at lvl1, Torment is unlocked at lvl70 and Torment has its own difficulty scale. The biggest thing people are forgetting is that you don't have to go through the story four times now. All the difficulties are available from the start and you can switch on the fly, I believe. So you can play through max difficulty from level 1.

This is the best news hearing today, i was getting bored all ready now when doing a new char and redoing that whole campaign.
The one thing that still bothers me a bit, in regard to the way loot has stats that are tailored to the class you are playing, is that it doesn't really inspire the creation of alts. You're not going to find amazing Wizard loot while playing as your Barbarian, you'd have to create a Wizard and do all the grinding for it with it if you want to gear it up.
This is all based on my experiences with the PS3 version, which already has the class-tailored drop system, I haven't seen any indication that it's different in RoS.
You can't. To play in adventure mode, you have to clear the campaign first for the ActNope, can use 2Hs, plus 2H + Shield if you use the passive for it.

Also, you get a free legs the first time you kill a boss, that's it. So your current max lvl char will get them in Act V and that's about it. New chars will get them as they clear the campaign.
It's unknown if you unlock adventure account wide or on a per character basis (at least I haven't seen the info)
Oh, but they redid the previous acts. Some more, some less visible, but the tone, the color schemes are different. It is quite interesting of a change, and for the better, shall I say.I really don't understand why Blizzard just had to go and mess with their tried and true formula.

Maybe I just need to see it. If adventure mode means I never have to see Magdha or the Leah "twist" + having Acts 1 - 4 redone then maybe it would be worth checking out.Oh, but they redid the previous acts. You will never have to see those again. And there is "automatically skip cutscenes" option as well, needless to say how handy that is for bossfights :DMaybe I just need to see it. Have to agree with you 100%. I tried the console version and the auto-targeting combined with the poor mob density is a major turn off. None of that will change with the PS4 version either.Superior controls makes 0 sense when it controls a lot worse than kb/m

The fact is you can't have a console game like this without auto-targeting. Unless they allow for k/m controls on console which isn't going to happen.
Is it confirmed that the PS4 version won't have the mob density updates? That's a big disappointment if true.Have to agree with you 100%. I tried the console version and the auto-targeting combined with the poor mob density is a major turn off. None of that will change with the PS4 version either.
I could have sworn that they stated that there would be mob density updates due to the system being more powerful. It is either on the Blizzard site or the Playstation Blog post, I can't remember which one.Originally Posted by TatteredHat

This is absolutely not true. When I can't aim my leaps, you control worse.Originally Posted by Yoshichan
