Okay, thanks :) I thought I was going crazy and seeing things for a moment there.
I was mistaken to agree, you were actually mistaken. Your reference photos for that last comparison are weird.

I can't believe you just quoted a chain of 21 images... LOL..!OMFG!! early morning X-BONER here :D
well, when I get aroused, I do things.. :DI can't believe you just quoted a chain of 21 images... LOL..!
Homespace shots look great but I'm not seeing a lot of difference between FM4 and FM5 with the on-track action images.
Well, you're asking the impossible with Spa and chrome cars because those weren't in FM4, but apart from some extra model detail in the Ford GT image, that one could have come straight from FM4. I guess it's an indication of how good FM4 photomode was coupled with diminishing returns on next gen.on track also look fuckin'great.. I wont quote again, but check the blue ford gt, the veyron on top of spa, the chrome nsx with the golden gtr..
I challenge you to do this on FM4 and compare ;p

Some self-shadowing would work wonders here (and in the RS200 engine posted earlier). The detail is to be applauded but there's something slightly 'off'. It's hard to describe - the components appear to float, or to have be shopped in from elsewhere with different lighting. I guess there's no cohesion, or something.I said god damn !
As you said, similar to FM4's Autovista, there's absolutely no self shadowing. This is what's missing there as everything is lighted in the same way which creates this floating aspect. Some self-shadowing would work wonders here (and in the RS200 engine posted earlier). (Definitely NOT a diss of your legendary photographic skills, by the way G-man).

Are those screenshots in the first post in-game graphics? They're absolutely stunning imo.
