You may MAY get lucky that Amazon might have some lightning deal on it, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

I know ys games are known to have difficult bosses but fuck
Not knowing you have to level up every single character, because you have to use them all in three phases to defeat it. Thankfully the leveling wasn't that grindy, and the great combat made it go by fast.
I don't know if I agree with this. It's simply another telling of the Ys 4 events, done in a really different way. I can see the sequel angle just because the characters all seem to know Adol but he doesn't remember them, but the stuff they remember isn't from the other Ys 4s either.Part Sequel, Part Remake? - With three prior versions of Ys IV developed by third-party companies, Ys: Memories of Celceta represents creator Nihon Falcom's first in-house take on this classic story. Part remake and part sequel, this retelling of and expansion upon the events of Ys IV is designed with both newcomers and long-time series fans in mind.
Amazon just delayed my copy until December 2nd...

one day shipping for me is the best they could do. oh well. i have too many games to play anyways lol
their whole system seems to be broke lately. you should stay persistent when you contact.Originally Posted by zerokoolpsx

i hope they don't ship the game to you in a bubble mailer. Multiple LE of mine have been damage because of it. Basically fuck amazon and newegg for LEs that can fit in a bubble mailer.

Vita TV only works with Japanese PSN accounts right now, and there's no guarantee that the cart version of this game will have the Vita TV patch that the JP version got built in. Would be nice though, since I grabbed a Vita TV.Originally Posted by atmusfear
I'd rather import (or wait) on the Vita TV.
Also, I sort of hope this game is shorter than Ys 7. 7 started to really overstay its welcome and was waaaay too long for its own good.
I already completed Ys7 3 times... can't wait to play this which is based on the same battle system!
alright cool preordering from BB now. Thankies.Originally Posted by Volcynika
The LE Is standardized. This isn't like NISA where their own store has a thing or two more than normal retail stores. The LE will be the same no matter where you get it from.
I don't need to play this to know that it's better than a topdown Zelda.Originally Posted by Mauricio_Magus

played ALBW for like an hour
XSEED stays doing work for the Vita.

My Amazon Silver Anniversary preorder is also set for 11/27 with one day shipping. But I forgot about their bubble mailer bullshit. I'd best preorder at my local Gamestop to be on the safe side.
Could you share some first hand photos, Tom?FYI, the book pictured in that Silver Anniversary Edition mock-up image? Totally underselling the actual thing, which is easily twice as thick.

Nope! We held an informal vote in the office, and determined that it would be better to let you guys experience the magic on your own when you get your copies. No "spoilers." ;)Could you share some first hand photos, Tom?
Oh, of course! That wasn't meant as a sleight in any way. More just as a source of hype for the LE, which I'm SO PSYCHED for people to get. Hell, I helped put the thing together, and even I can't wait to get my own non-office copy so I can ogle it in the comfort of my own home! ;)You guys sent it out! I'm using what I have. :p
The generally accepted rumor (which is only a rumor, to be fair, but does seem to be supported by Japanese reviews and message board comments) is that the game didn't do particularly well in Japan due to the lack of Adol. Ys fans overseas (oversYs?) are nuts about the ol' red-haired adventurer, and they were NOT happy to play an Ys game without him!The only Ys game I haven't played is origins. It looks great, wonder why it never made it to the Vita.

Never again
I don't know if I can pick this up immediately, but definitely sooner rather than later.

You want it. 3 CDs full of Ys music spanning the various releases AND a compass? C'mon. Thats adventurer's gold.Just traded a bunch of old games I won't play any more into Gamestop. I pre-ordered both versions of Ys since I can't quite decide if I want the special edition or not. Sort of leaning towards getting it now, especially since it will all be paid by my trade in anyway.
Man, that's exactly what I was thinking. If pictures were shown I'd have made a point of avoiding them in favor of seeing the real deal for myself when I pick it up.Nope! I'm expecting 30 myself. That's usually the case with JRPGs and Tales battles aside I expect to be pleasantly surprised with 60 at best. Not unless it's sub-native resolution FOR 60 FPS, but I doubt that. Going to be weird to have whiplash between this and Zelda, heh.Originally Posted by Hesemonni
