So, while I do hope more people pay attention to gaming, and experience some of Nintendo's latest, I have to thank early adopters for waiting in the cold, for hours, to put in there hard earned cash, and bring home a system just to be locked out of online play when they first get home and plug it in lol...
You guys are the ones that Call Sony and MS and complain about defective units, borked systems, network outages, supply demand, glitches, and the like. Because of you, records are broken, information is exchanged. Early adopters gave us proof that MS isn't as silly as there early PR suggest, and Voice commands can actually be cool. Early adopters showed us Knack is actually a pretty fun title, and in no way comparable to the other games receiving similar grades from these so-called gaming critics. Early adopters made us use twitch for the first time, showed us the future of our gaming living room setups, and they bear the brunt of perhaps being one of the unfortunate 1%.
Not everyone has all the disposable income to get every platform that releases. If not for early adopters to show us the way to our preference of gaming then who? The gaming media??! Thank goodness that is not the case.
Here's to early adopters!!!
For lighting the flames for a next-generation!!!
WOOOOSAAAAI
Edit: Aw OP, you tricked me. I was so sure that you were laughing in our early adopter faces
You should have read the whole post instead of preparing your slam dunk.Originally Posted by NoLoveForFailWheelDrive

I'm really confused about how the hell the Wii U fit into that post though. :/
You'd think for pitching in $1000+, I'd at least get a cloth map.
You're welcome. But it's not just early adopters. Any issues you have with an electronic should be made aware to the manufacturer/company. Otherwise, their shoddy shit will keep being produced as they count our cash.
Hmmm? if i had some extra money I would be getting a PS4? What are you talking about?Originally Posted by NoLoveForFailWheelDrive

Oh yeah, and if we're going to be petty little nerds, all I have to say is this: enjoy your last gen console!
Your OP reads as some really weird, ambiguous crazy rant when I first went through it. I was like 'what the fuck is this?' LOL.Originally Posted by Omnistalgic

And really, it isn't so bad over here in next-gen land. Of course, my PS4 could possibly explode at any moment but at least it'll go out in a blaze of glory. You should early adopt too, it's awesome.
yup yup..its just the fear of being there day one. I was scared for like a year when I first got PS3. Console launches always seem to have a "risk" of being faulty. Glad it's not as widespread as the internet's sensational claims, but still you guys still take the most risk being there day one...You know 90% of early adopters had mostly no problems? Besides the BF 4 stuff, but that's EA and Dice being EA and Dice as usual.
Uh, did you read the same post I did?Originally Posted by NoLoveForFailWheelDrive

no funds until February with tax return money unfortunately '-( And I promised not to impulse buy on a credit card this year. Wife will kill me if she sees a PS4 in my room!Originally Posted by NoLoveForFailWheelDrive

edit: wtf at the weird defensive posts in here.

Nice edit.
I got pretty high about an hour ago so I'm pretty sure I misunderstood it as some crazy 'fuck next gen you early adopters are suckers LOL' rant, which was pretty fucking funny but also really crazy. Now that I've re-read it and imagined OP's voice having the same velvety, smooth tones as Barry White, I feel that I really understood his message this time. OP, thank you for not being a crazy bloodthirsty console warrior.Originally Posted by Ingueferroque

Sell your Wii U. Buy a PS4. She'll never notice.Originally Posted by Omnistalgic

I waited until mid 2006 to get a 360, but I literally played five games on the system until SF4 arrived in 2009. I waited until the fall of 2009 to get a PS3. No idea how long I'll wait this time, but most likely a year at the very least. Oh, but I broke tradition and bought a WiiU at launch. Which I played a whole two games on and then it just sat. I'll probably dust it off eventually though for Super Mario 3D World and X.Originally Posted by FlyingTeacup
was early adopter for ps3 and 360, not this time. will wait for a year thi gen.
That's a bit transparent...Originally Posted by Omnistalgic

I used to get systems late in the cycle, but recently I've had the abillity to do it on launch so I've taken my chance. I've been lucky so far. Crossing my fingers.
WiiU and PS4 day one represent.
Just humor mate...I wish I could have been an early adopter this year. I just want to play around with the new UI and I'd be happy'-)Originally Posted by IncandescentPrecept

I'll still pick up fairly early in there life cycles, but there's nothing like being there day one and seeing the changes...
OMG who remembers the first PSN Store???!! What was that Dreamcast-like web page!?! lol...we've come so far...
You all sweeties.
